Donk Stem mostly 1-5 cm thick; fruitbodies normally larger; clamps present or absent; spore Lm>11 µm; probably mycorrhizal, growing on soil in woods. 9 9. R. paludosa (Lundell) Schild (possibly conspecific with R. pallida) All parts ±clear yellow (straw yellow, pale yellow, lemon yellow, light chrome to lemon chrome (2-4A3-8) or dark pinkish buff (5B3-4)); branches often slowly darkening when bruised (possibly over night).
