(Retain a copy for your records) Move On When Ready Enrollment Overview Move On When Ready (MOWR) eligible students are permitted to enroll in Technical Certificate of Credit, Diploma, and/or Degree Programs. Students are permitted to enroll in individual courses as course takers. Complete and return the MOWR Participation Agreement to the High School Initiatives Coordinator at Savannah Technical College. Students from Public High Schools, Private High Schools, and Home Schools may take postsecondary courses for both high school and postsecondary credit through the MOWR Enrollment Program. These students will earn high school and college credit while still enrolled in high school. Students from Public High Schools, Private High Schools, and Home Schools may take postsecondary courses not directly related to the completion of the high school graduation requirements through the Joint Enrollment Program. No high school credit will be earned for these courses. Joint enrolled students must complete the HOPE application. A MOWR/Joint Enrollment student must meet eligibility requirements set by Georgia Student Finance Commission, the agency administering MOWR and HOPE. All forms of academic dishonesty including, but not limited to, cheating on tests, plagiarism, collusion, and falsification of information will call for discipline. Students are dropped from the class roll when their absences exceed 15% of the total contact hours. If a student is late to class three times, the instructor will count it as one absence. Students must meet the Student Code of Conduct as set forth by the high school and Savannah Technical College. MOVE ON WHEN READY (High School and College Credit): A MOWR student should enroll in postsecondary courses designated by the high school counselor (or CTAE Director/Supervisor) and Savannah Technical College representative. Courses failed or dropped by a MOWR student at Savannah Technical College may prohibit high school graduation. The MOWR Enrollment Program provides funds for courses taken during the Fall, Spring and Summer Semesters at Savannah Technical College. Students must remain in good academic standing. Savannah Technical College will provide textbooks for MOWR students. Course related fees and supplies must be paid by the student. Books must be returned in good condition to Savannah Technical College or the student will incur a penalty. JOINT ENROLLMENT (College credit only): Joint enrolled students are eligible for the HOPE Grant only and are not eligible for any other financial aid from the State of Georgia for Diploma and Technical Certificate of Credit programs. Joint enrolled students/parents are responsible for fees, books, and supplies not covered by the HOPE Grant. If the student s application for HOPE funds is delayed or not approved, the student/parent will be responsible for full cost of enrollment. There will be a cap on the number of hours students can receive HOPE Grant funding. Students may receive HOPE funding for a total of 63 semester hours and must remain on good academic standing.
