04. FIRST AID MEASURES First Aid - Eyes First Aid - Skin First Aid - Ingestion First Aid - Inhalation Wash out eye with plenty of water. Obtain medical attention if soreness or redness persists. If irritation persists obtain medical advice. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Obtain medical advice if necessary. Do not induce vomiting. Wash out mouth with water. Obtain medical advice if necessary. Remove from exposure. Obtain medical advice if symptoms develop. In cases of severe intoxication, artificial respiration may be required. Advice to Physicians Perchloroethylene is an anaesthetic and can induce cardiac sensitization. Adrenaline or similar sympathomimetic drugs should not be given. Inhalation of high concentrations of vapour will cause drowsiness, headaches and giddiness. Severe exposure may lead to unconsciousness. 05. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES Extinguishing Media Use foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide. Keep fire exposed, but undamaged, containers cool with a water spray. Do not allow run-off to enter water courses. Protective Equipment for Fire- Fighting Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus. 06. Surfaces on to which the aerosol has been accidentally discharged should be washed with detergent solution. 07. Store in original container under cool and dry conditions in a secure, well ventilated place, inaccessible to children and away from foodstuffs and animal feedstuffs.
