Make it easier and more convenient for householders and smaller businesses to take up sustainable energy products, services, and solutions. Provide ongoing support for clients who are committed to a low carbon lifestyle.

Recommendation summary The potential energy savings which it is considered would result from implementing the actions are summarised below:
Energy Saving Scotland small business loan You can borrow from 1,000 to 100,000 Interest-free for implementing energy efficiency measures 5% for renewable projects where you intend to claim FIT or RHI If you are not intending to claim FIT or RHI then the interest rate is 0% Monthly repayments are based on expected energy savings Loan can fund labour and materials relating to energy saving project Renewable installations can receive 100% of the cost (pay back over 8 years) Energy efficiency measures receive 5 times the annual saving (paid back over 4 years)
Small Business Loan How can it be used? Various measures recommended in your Energy Review report can be funded through the small business loan. Note: any electricity-generating renewable system, which the energy review suggests will result in the site becoming a net exporter of electricity over the course of a year, is not eligible for a loan.
