Keep labama s Kids afe Child estraint ctivity ook Dear Parent or eacher, his activity book was created to teach elementary age children the importance of safety seats and seat belt use. his book can be used in the classroom or at home to reinforce a child s safety education. he activity book emphasizes the following important messages: he back seat is the safest place for all children to ride. Never allow children to place the shoulder belt behind their back or under their arm. booster seat ensures the car s safety belt fits a child correctly to avoid serious injury. ll children must be buckled while in a vehicle. Under labama law, any person violating this law will be fined. Children properly restrained in a child safety have an 80% lower risk of fatal injury than those who are not restrained.
