BRUCE LEE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION - 2016 To All Applicants, The purpose of this program is to provide a financial award to students who understand, appreciate and exemplify Bruce Lee s passion for education as well as his qualities of honest expression, forward thought, self-exploration, and drive. The scholarships are available to students age 16 and older who will be attending, or are already attending, a two-year college, four-year university, graduate school or licensed trade and vocational school within the United States. ALL SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS WILL BE PAID DIRECTLY TO THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION THAT THE APPLICANT IS CURRENTLY, OR WILL BE, ATTENDING. ELIGIBILITY & AWARD The Bruce Lee Foundation Scholarship is open to students aged 16 years and above. The scholarship must be used to cover the remaining costs of tuition first, then books, resources, and room and board. Proof of enrollment and an up to date class schedule must be provided prior to disbursement of the scholarship. The award breakdown is as follows: 1 x Major $ 10,000 Scholarship 4 x Minor $ 2,500 Scholarships 1 x $ 2,500 Junior Giants Scholarship (Junior Giants Students Only) 1 x $ 1,500 Las Vegas Downtown Project Scholarship (Las Vegas Students Only) Answers to frequently asked questions are available online at bruceleefoundation.org/scholarships. To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must: Be a student aged 16 years or older Be attending or will be attending a two-year college, four-year university, graduate school, or licensed trade and vocational school within the U.S. Be involved in extracurricular activities Have work experience or demonstrate service within their community Demonstrate personal drive Have knowledge of and/or identify with Bruce Lee and his insights Junior Giants and Las Vegas students will also be considered for the major and minor scholarships, respectively. To do our part for the environment, we are no longer accepting mailed or faxed applications and letters of recommendation. Submit the following materials by 5:00pm US PT on Friday, June 10th, 2016 via EMAIL ONLY to info@bruceleefoundation.org.
