Depositary Services Intertrust s depositary capabilities were developed in preparation of the EU AIFMD Directive to offer regulatory oversight to investors in Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) across the European Union. At your service The principle duty of the depositary is to help identify non-market risks and alert investors and regulators to noncompliant transactions with adverse investor impact. We achieve this through cash flow monitoring, asset verification and safekeeping, along with various monitoring, checking and oversight tasks. Our offices in The Netherlands and Luxembourg offer depositary services to closed-end real asset alternative investment funds, assisting our clients to comply with the new Alternative Investment Fund Manager Directive (AIFMD). The principle duties of the depositary are: Cash flow monitoring > Ensuring qualifying cash accounts, reconciliation of payments, regular checks for unusual transactions Verification and safekeeping of assets > Ownership verification and record keeping of investments Oversight regarding > Subscriptions and redemptions (monitoring of procedures established by AIF(M) or central administration) > Valuation (verifying appropriateness of asset valuation and NAV calculation) > Compliance with law and fund documents (e.g. investment restrictions) > Timely receipt of payments and settlement of transactions > Accuracy of income distributions Along with various monitoring, checking and oversight tasks to identify and alert investors and regulators to anomalous transactions with material investor impact.
