Supervises, plans, organizes, and directs chaplain, chaplain assets, and chapel activities for the 172d Airlift Wing at and GSU units at Gulfport, MS, including the 209 th Civil Engineering Squadron and 255the Aircraft Control Squadron. Provides for the free access of religion for 1200 unit members by ministry of presence, counseling, and worship leadership. Advises the commander and other Air Force leaders on critical religious, ethical, moral, quality of life and morale issues. 1993 2013 Assistant Professor / Library Director Director of Library and Professor: Has overall responsibility for the management of a large religious library which includes 195,000 monographs, 2200 periodical titles and ecclesiastical reports from 42 denominations. Includes supervising 25 full and part-time personnel and a budget over $400,000. Responsibility includes collection development of both monograph and electronic sources in the various fields of ministry and theology, oversees hiring and staff development, prepares long range planning, participates in budget creation and analysis, revises policy and procedures, analyses data and prepares reports. This job also includes faculty membership, the chairman of the Library Committee, and a member of the education accreditation committee.
