April, 1983 To February, 1985: Senior Casualty Broker The Wetzel Company, Inc., Daily marketing of a wide range of general liability and umbrella liabilities to the markets which Wetzel represented mainly consisting of the Lloyds of London Insurance Markets. Designed and placed association sponsored Professional Liability coverage for Emergency Room Physicians and Umbrella Liability coverage for the Texas Municipal League with the London market on both a direct and reinsurance basis. Negotiation and placement of Casualty Insurance coverage on the book of business for which I was responsible; volume was approximately $500,000 (commission income to Marsh); client contact both telephonically and in person. Designed and administered coverage program for professional liability for Petroleum Engineers specializing in the estimation of the amount of petroleum in an oil field negotiated policy wording for special form policy ( manuscripted policy ) with London. Supervised my assistant (rater/technician), Assistant Account Manager and Account Manager Trainee. July, 1973 To December, 1977: EDUCATION: College: Administrative Assistant Poe & Associates, Inc. Tampa, Florida Administrative Assistant to three (3) Producers. Assisted them in all phases of insurance including completing applications, premium financing, with complete responsibility for handling their personal lines accounts. Design, development and marketing of the Florida Optometric Professional Protector Plan, the Florida Nurseryman and Growers Association Plan, as well as several other types of Association packages. Obtained Florida Agent s License for owning or managing a commercial agency. Pre-College: Insurance Industry: Graduated Pekin Community High School (with high honors) The CPCU designation is the highest designation for individuals in the business of property and casualty insurance, requiring a number of undergraduate and graduate level courses in insurance company operations, property insurance, casualty insurance, law, accounting and finance, economics, etc. Literally dozens of various seminars on insurance, employee benefits, law, claims investigations, management, etc. ADDITIONAL SKILLS OF INTEREST: From time to time, I guest lecture in Risk Management at University of Houston Downtown in the Master's Degree Program in Criminal Justice and the Master's Degree Program in Security Management. From time to time, I guest lecture in Risk Management and Insurance at University of Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health in the Master's Degree Program in Public Health Administration.
