Checklist Situational and Optional Items Situational and Optional Items required for an IPR Initiation Confirm if the employee requires a pre-decision trip to destination country prior to accepting the permanent relocation If yes then check that the pre-decision trip is authorized to occur in advance of IPR being approved Note: costs will be incurred if approval is given Confirm if the employee requires a house hunting trip Confirm if the business supports destination services Confirm if the employee is familiar with the culture of the destination country If not, check that you will approve class room training or web based Confirm if the employee speaks the language of the destination country If not, check that you will approve class room training or web based Confirm if the employee owns or rents in the departure country Rent : Check if the business will support lease break on the rental property Own : Check if the business will support home sale assistance Confirm if the business supports one year of education for school-aged children note: education should only be provided under special circumstances, such as where children do not speak destination country language or relocation occurs during a critical school year If yes confirm the number of children requiring education support Check if the employee will be purchasing or renting in the destination country Purchasing : check if the business will support home purchase assistance (reimbursement of reasonable and customary closing costs) Renting : check if the business will support paying the realtor renters fee Honeywell Confidential 4
