Thunderbird Executive MBA Arizona Diversity Scholarship 2012 Beginning with the cohort entering the Thunderbird Executive MBA Arizona program in Fall 2012, students who would bring diversity (gender, ethnicity, nationality, etc.) to the Executive MBA cohort will be able to apply for a scholarship. This scholarship is designed to partially offset the tuition cost of attending the Thunderbird Executive MBA Arizona program. If a student is successful in receiving a scholarship, the scholarship will be applied as a credit to the student s tuition account, distributed pro rata over the course of the program. Cash payment will not be made to the student. The amount of the scholarship varies based on financial need, but it is envisioned the scholarship will cover between 10% 20% of the program tuition. Application requirements: To be considered for a Scholarship, candidates must: 1. Have been accepted into the Thunderbird Executive MBA program for the Fall 2012 cohort. 2. Preference will be given to students who are fully self-financed. 3. Submit completed scholarship application including the financial need documentation and scholarship essay (refer to the application form below). 4. Belong to a group that is under-represented in the Executive MBA cohort (gender, ethnicity, nationality, etc.). 5. This scholarship cannot be combined with any other Thunderbird Executive MBA scholarship. Scholarship decision process 1. Students interested in being considered for a scholarship must submit the completed scholarship application by May 15, 2012. 2. The selection committee, consisting of Thunderbird Executive MBA faculty and staff, will only consider those applications that are complete and have reached the committee by this date. 3. The committee will then confirm that each student qualifies for consideration and review the applications. 4. The number and value of scholarships will depend on the quality and quantity of the applicant pool. 5. The committee will inform applicants by June 15, 2012 if they have been awarded a scholarship. 6. The decision of the committee is final and there is no appeal process. 7. Thunderbird reserves the right to change this process without notice.
