10 General Objectives (1) The European IPR Helpdesk aims at raising awareness of the value of intellectual assets and of the necessity to secure and manage them... empowering our target groups to develop capacities of their own to deal with IP/IPR building long-termpartnerships with relevant multipliers networks and other IP initiatives to anticipate and evaluate the IP/IPR challengesof tomorrow
11 General Objectives (2) On a more practical level we aim at assisting SMEs and beneficiaries of EU funded programmes in dealing with IPR matters as well as in developing adequate IP management strategies providing professional advice and first-line, highquality support on IP/IPR issues via different services

17 Helpline Statistics Active countries contacting the Helpline: Spain, Germany, Belgium, UK, France Questions are primarily concerned with IP/IPR issues in the context of FP7 research projects Most questions come from universities (20%), SMEs (20%) and research institutions (18%)
