Steven R. Fazio Steve Fazio has over 30 years of successful business leadership experience ranging from his existing position as sole owner and CEO of Fazio Cleaners, with over 30,000 customer's, headquartered in Woodland Hills, to an extensive involvement with many other Los Angeles based business where he has acted as a trusted advisor putting to use his consulting skills and educational background and expe1iise in strategic planning and family business dynamics. Fazio has been very active in the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) where he has served as Chapter Chair for the Santa Monica Bay Chapter and founded the west San Fernando Valley based chapter known as the Las Virgenes Chapter. A recent graduate of YPO, last year Fazio cofounded a local World Presidents Organization Chapter, WPO-Angeleno, where he currently serves on the executive committee. Fazio earned both an MBA and doctoral degree from Pepperdine University where he served as Executive in Residence teaching Business Strategy and Organization Theory to undergraduate and graduate students. He is the recipient of the George L. Graziadio, School of Business and Management, Distinguished Alumni Award. A dedicated civic leader, Fazio served nearly 30 years as a designated level-one line reserve police officer for the Los Angeles Police Department from 1981-2011. During his time with the Los Angeles Police Department Fazio received numerous commendations, citations, and awards for outstanding work in various functions ranging from arrests in the field dealing with drug and weapons trafficking, to crafting and implementing deployment options while assisting LAPD management. Fazio served as the lead reserve for all department in-service training for several years as well as having been a bureau reserve officer in charge for over 1 0-years, Among the many activities Fazio was involved was overseeing the deployment of reservists during the Olympics in 1984, Papal visit in 1987, where Fazio was put in charge of feeding all department personnel for three days with no budget-and pulled it off, as well as having worked throughout the civil mrrest of 1992, the Northridge earthquake of 1994. Fazio also served as an adjutant for the bureau command staff under Commander Jim Chambers and Robert Gil. Fazio was the first line reserve officer to be approved and assigned a specialized unit by the late Chief Jessie Brewer in 1985, Additionally, Fazio was part of the negotiating team that enabled state legislative and municipal city charter changes that allowed supervisors to deploy reserve officers with greater flexibility.
Fazio served as the President of the Brentwood Area Chamber of Commerce throughout the 1980's on several occasions, and was also part of the fonnulation of the Westside Council of Chambers of Commerce. Throughout the years Fazio has been a member of the numerous other foundations where he served in leadership roles. Fazio has been a member of the Cedar Sinai Board of Governors for many years and was recently invited to join the prestigious organization CEO where he joins some of the most prominent business leaders around the world. Among Steve's proudest accomplishments is the leadership role he took on in the founding of the Siena Canyon School, where he served as the founding President, and played a key role overseeing each phase, from strategic planning and policy development to land acquisition and fundraising. The Sierra Canyon School is now an institution that educates students from Early Kindergarten to 12th grade. The school now consists of a $23 million state-of-the-art building and has taken its place as an institution with one of the most diverse student populations among all private independent schools. Sierra Canyon School now spans approximately 17 acres with a student population of nearly 1,000 students. Steve lives in the San Fernando Valley, with the love of his life, Nicole Drapkin-Kluft, he has a son Jonathan (17) currently a junior at Sierra Canyon School, and when she's around, Gabriella "Gaby" (20) a sophomore at Nmiheastem University. 2
