Example: Jeremiah 10:10a The a behind the 10 means that this is the first part of the verse. Example: Psalm 119:74b The b behind the 74 means this is the last part of the verse. 3. The Bible has two Testaments the Old and the New. The Old Testament has 39 books. The New Testament has 27 books. Know the books of the New Testament, which book comes before and which comes after. 4. According to 1 Timothy 1:1-5 a) Timothy s mother s name was Eunice. b) Timothy s grandmother s name was Lois. c) What did his mother and grandmother teach him?
