Youth Accounts Pocket Power This account is designed to encourage children to save their pocket money. The Pocket Power account is a special savings account that has been developed for Members aged 3 to 11 years. With the help of a parent or guardian, junior Members can start their financial education. Investments Term Deposits A Community First Term Investment is a safe and secure way to invest your savings at a high rate of interest. Community First has a wide range of terms to suit your investment needs. You choose how much you would like to invest, (minimum of $5,000) the length of your term, (3 months to 3 years) and choose whether to have your interest paid monthly, annually, or on maturity. As an added benefit and incentive to save, the interest rates are tiered dependant on the length of the term and the amount invested. Features and benefits: You can invest from $5,000 to $250,000 in a Community First Term Investment and receive a high interest rate. Rates for amounts above $250,000 are available on request. Interest rates for Community First Term Investments are tiered - the more you invest the greater the return. Feel free to choose any term from 3 months to 3 years, so you will have your money available when you need it. Your Term Investment can give you money to live on. Interest may be paid every 28 days, at the end of the term, or at periods in between. Your money will earn a very competitive interest rate that is fixed for the whole of your chosen term.
