A Live-in Nanny lives in the home, though she also has set hours. While starting salary is approximately $400 a week, the actual compensation is much higher because the employer provides room and board, paid health insurance and other amenities, sometimes including phone, car use, etc. Early Childhood Development Positions as directors, assistant directors or lead teachers are available in private, public or corporate child development centers, with employment opportunities in Head Start, Early Head Start, Parent Educators and other areas.
