This event is organized in accordance with : - FEI Statutes (21 st edition, effective April 2004) - General Regulations (21 st edition, revised 1 January 2005) - Veterinary Regulations (9th edition, effective 1 st January 2002) - The Rules for Dressage Events (21th edition, effective 1st January 2003, and if applicable the Rules for the World Cup Dressage Events - All subsequent published revisions, the provisions of which will take precedence. - An arbitration procedure is provided for in the FEI Statutes and General Regulations referred to above. In accordance with this procedure, any appeal against a decision rendered by the FEI or its official bodies is to be settled exclusively by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland. 5. FACILITIES OFFERED (Art. 132, 133) A) COMPETITORS: HOTEL : to be confirmed B) GROOMS Requests for accommodation must be sent with entries. Accommodation near the stables (bring sheets, blankets and mattress), in own lorries or own caravans. The OC will provide sufficient sanitary and showering facilities, with hot and cold water for male and female grooms. C) HORSES Transport expenses to be paid by the competitors. Horses will be stabled in competition stables (3m x 3m) on the show grounds,. The stables will be open from May 30 th through June 06 th. D) WELCOME The time and date of arrival of riders and horses and their means of transport must be given to the OC in order to facilitate them on arrival. E) ADVERTISING AND PUBLICITY ON COMPETITORS AND HORSES (Art. 136.1-2) The competitors are authorized to carry the logo of their personal sponsor on the saddle cloth in accordance with Art. 136.1-2. The Chief Steward will check that the advertising and publicity on competitors and horses complies with Article 136 of the General Regulations. VETERINARY ASPECTS "A" VETERINARY REGULATIONS, 2th june Edition, 1st January 2002 THE FOLLOWING TEXT MUST BE PUBLISHED VERBATIM IN ALL SCHEDULES : VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS, HORSE INSPECTIONS AND PASSPORT CONTROLS These will be carried out in accordance with Veterinary Regulations Art. 1011; Rules for Dressage Events Annex I. General Regulations 21 st edition, revised 1 January 2005, effective 1st January 2005 will apply :In accordance with Art. 139.1 Every horse entered for any competition at CDNs, CDIs* and CDIs** in a foreign country, and all horses entered for CDIs***, CDIOs**, CDIOs***, Championships, Regional and Olympic Games, whether at home or in foreign countries, must have an official, valid FEI Passport, or a National Passport approved by the FEI accompanied by an FEI Recognition Card, as a means of identification and to establish ownership. In accordance with Art. 139.2 Horses taking part in CDNs, CDIs* and CDIs** in their own country are not required to have such a passport as is mentioned in paragraph 1. All such horses must be properly registered and identifiable by diagram, and unless there is no national requirement for equine influenza vaccination in the host country and in the country of origin, all horses must have a valid vaccination certificate. EQUINE INFLUENZA VACCINATION, Vet. Regs. Annex VI (except events taking place in NZL & AUS). All horses and ponies for which an FEI Passport or a National Passport approved by the FEI has been issued must have the vaccination section endorsed by a veterinarian who is not the owner of the animal, stating that it has received two injections for primary vaccination against equine influenza, given no less than 21 days and no more than 92 days apart. In addition, a booster injection must be recorded as having been given within each succeeding 12 months subsequent to the second injection of the primary vaccination. None of these injections must have been given within the preceding 7 days including the day of the competition or of entry into the competition stables. The above are the minimum requirements for influenza vaccination. Both primary and first and subsequent booster injections should be given according to the manufacturer's instructions which will fall within the stipulation of the FEI ruling. In many cases booster injections are recommended by the manufacturers and by National Veterinary Authorities/Regulatory Authorities at intervals more frequent than 12 months. SAMPLING FOR PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES, Vet. Regs. Chap V & VI and Annex III Regular sampling is carried out in CDIOs**, CDIOs***, World Cup Qualifiers, Cup Finals, Championships and Games, whereas at other CDIs sampling is recommended. Special guidelines are applicable for events covered by the FEI's Medication Control Programme (Groups I and II only). 4

A3. VETERINARY ASPECTS "B" Confederação Brasileira de Hipismo HEALTH REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ENTRY OF HORSES A CERTIFICATE OF NON EPIDEMY Is compulsory for all horses. Medication control Vet. Regulation Chapter V VI and Annex III. SANITARY REQUIREMENTS FOR TEMPORARY IMPORTATION OF HORSES. Horses must be covered with an official veterinary certificate which states: - That the country of origin is officially free from: Horse Epidemics, Durina, Surry, Glanders, Epizootic Lymphangitis, Boma s disease, Genital rash (exantema), Contagious Metritis, Variola, East, West, Salmonelosis, viral Rhimoneumonitis and viral Arthritis. - That there are no cases of Anaemia, Influenza, Leptospirosis, Stomatitis where the horse(s) were stabled during the last...days prior to shipping. - That the horses have been isolated from the other horses of the club under the supervision of an official veterinary and during that time showed no signs or symptoms of infectious diseases or of parasites which impede exportation to..., and during that time were treated for internal external parasites. VACCINATIONS All horses must have a veterinary certificate that assures that between the 180 and 15 days before travelling they were vaccinated for Rabies, Influenza (Equi1 and 2), East, West, Encephalitis and viral Adenitis. Negative result of Coggins Test. REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTERING HORSES IN BRAZIL. The horses are to be consigned to the Brazilian Equestrian Federation. Office in charge of shipping procedures to and from Brazil: The pro-forma invoice and Health Certificate (Coggins Test and Vaccinations) should be sent ahead of time (by Fax). The arrival date in São Paulo/ Rio de Janeiro, airline company and the Brazilian company in charge of unshipping/shipping, must be informed in advance. The OC will take over the veterinary and custom costs on arrival and departure. Arrival/departure date from Brazil must be specified. VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS, HORSE INSPECTIONS AND PASSPORT CONTROLS Will be carried out in accordance with the Vet. Regulations 9 th, January 1 st, 2002, Art. 1011; Rules for Dressage Events Annex I. Date and time of horse inspections: Will be held on June 02 th at the veterinarian facilities of the Sociedade Hípica Paulista, from 11:00 am to 13:00 pm. b) CUSTOMS FORMALITIES 5

Details of required customs documents, border crossing points, times of opening and customs agencies. NFs holding an international event in their country should inform their National Veterinary Authority at least four weeks beforehand. OBJECTIONS/COMPLAINTS (Art. 167-171) All complaints and objections to be valid must be made in writing and accompanied by a deposit of R$ 500.(CHF 150 ) 2. PRIZE - CLASSIFICATION (Art. 128, 129, 130) The distribution of prizes will take place on the Showgrounds at the end of each class. The six prized riders must present themselves mounted. 3. DEDUCTIONS FROM PRIZE MONEY Prize money to be paid in local currency. There will be a tax retained according to brazilian law to all prize money distributed. 4. DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES AND INDEMNITIES (Art. 130) All prizes will be paid at Show Office, at the end of the Show. 5. DOCTOR, VETERINARIAN, FARRIER Medical and Veterinary services, as well as the services of farrier are available during the Show at competitor s own expense. Further information at Show Office. 6. INSURANCES All owners and competitors are personally responsible for damages to third parties caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their horses. They are therefore strongly advised to take out third-party insurance providing full coverage for participation in equestrian events at home and abroad, and to keep the policy up to date. 6

7. EVENT'S ORGANISATION (Art. 114-115) In exceptional circumstances, together with the approval of the Ground Jury, the OC reserves the right to modify the schedule in order to clarify any matter or matters arising from an omission or due to unforeseen circumstances. Any such changes must be notified to all competitors and officials as soon as possible and they must be reported to the FEI Secretary General by the Foreign Judge. 8. TECHNICAL MEETING In the Show Office meeting room June 02 nd at 4 pm 9. METHOD OF DRAW. At this occasion there will be a separate draw for each competition in the presence of the President or a member of the Ground Jury, Technical Delegate and Chefs d Equipe. This draw will be made regardless of the nationality according to art. 425 of the FEI Rules. Draw for the grand prix reverse order of world ranking list, in groups of 5. THE FEI CODE OF CONDUCT FOR THE WELFARE OF THE HORSE The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) expects all those involved in international equestrian sport to adhere to the FEI s Code of Conduct and to acknowledge and accept that at all times the welfare of the horse must be paramount and must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial influences. 1. At all stages during the preparation and training of competition horses, welfare must take precedence over all other demands. This includes good horse management, training methods, farriery and tack, and transportation. 2. Horses and competitors must be fit, competent and in good health before they are allowed to compete. This encompasses medication use, surgical procedures that threaten welfare or safety, pregnancy in mares and the misuse of aids. 3. Events must not prejudice horse welfare. This involves paying careful attention to the competition areas, ground surfaces, weather conditions, stabling, site safety and fitness of the horse for onward travel after the event. 4. Every effort must be made to ensure that horses receive proper attention after they have competed and that they are treated humanely when their competition careers are over. This covers proper veterinary care, competition injuries, euthanasia and retirement. 5. The FEI urges all involved with the sport to attain the highest levels of education in their areas of expertise. A P E N D I X 7
