Seattle Post-Intelligencer broke story November 18, 1999 First it killed some miners. Then it killed wives and children, slipping into their homes on the dusty clothing of hard working men. Now the mine is closed, but in Libby, the killing goes on.

WR Grace Company is a chemical conglomerate with annual sales of billions of dollars
You may have heard about this company In the 1970 s and 80 s, WR Grace dumped trichloroethylene into a pit behind a factory in Woburn, MA. Five children died of leukemia. EPA declared WR Grace at fault. Fined WR Grace $10,000 for lying to EPA.

He had been out of work all summer and things weren t looking good. He was so proud the he had finally gotten the job that he had wanted, and coincidently it occurred on his birthday. Mom and Dad explained to me that the job meant that in twenty years Dad would receive a pension and that they could retire and live comfortably in their golden years.
