OBIEE Quick Reference Guide Topic: How to Log In to the OBIEE Online Application 1 PREREQUISITES: SWIFT ACCESS AND DATA WAREHOUSE ACCESS In order to access the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) online application, you will need to be granted access to the Statewide Integrated Financial Tools (SWIFT) system, with specific access to the SWIFT Data Warehouse. To obtain access, you will need to fill out the Request for Access to SWIFT Statewide Systems form, which can be found on the MMB SWIFT Security website: http://www.mn.gov/mmb/accounting/swift/security/security_forms.jsp 2 ACCESSING OBIEE THROUGH THE SWIFT ADMINISTRATIVE PORTAL 2.1 NAVIGATE TO THE SWIFT ADMINISTRATIVE PORTAL WEBSITE Follow this URL to access the sign in page for the SWIFT Administrative portal: https://portal.swift.state.mn.us/psp/por91ap/employee/empl/h/?tab=papp_guest 2.2 ENTER YOUR SWIFT USER ID AND PASSWORD, THEN CLICK THE SIGN IN BUTTON 10-2015 Page 2
Note: For most users, your SWIFT User ID will be your State of Minnesota Employee ID number. Some users may have access using their State of Minnesota Mainframe User ID, which is also used for logging into the SEMA4 system. 2.3 ON THE ADMINISTRATIVE PORTAL ENTERPRISE MENU, CLICK THE SWIFT DATA WAREHOUSE ACCESS LINK Note: Depending on your security roles and access in SWIFT, you may see different links in your Enterprise Menu than those that are shown in the image below. For accessing OBIEE, you will need the SWIFT Data Warehouse Access link. If this link is not available, then you will need to submit the SWIFT Systems Access form noted in Section 1: Prerequisites of this document. 2.4 ON THE SWIFT DATA WAREHOUSE ACCESS PAGE, CLICK THE WAREHOUSE REPORTING LINK 2.5 SIGNING INTO OBIEE AND VIEWING THE OBIEE MAIN MENU Once you click on the Warehouse Reporting link in SWIFT, you will be automatically signed into the OBIEE online application. You may see the Signing in loading message (pictured below) while this occurs. 10-2015 Page 3
Once you are signed into the OBIEE online application, you will see the designated starting page for your account (this may be your Home page, a specific Dashboard page, or a specific report or analysis). You will see the following OBIEE menus at the top of the page. You can now navigate within OBIEE. 3 ACCESSING OBIEE THROUGH DIRECT WEB LINKS You can also navigate directly to the OBIEE online application by following the web links below, instead of navigating through the SWIFT Administrative portal. 3.1 NAVIGATE TO THE DESIRED OBIEE WEB PAGE Follow this URL to navigate directly to your OBIEE Home page: https://warehouse.swift.state.mn.us/analytics/saw.dll?bieehome Follow this URL to navigate directly to the OBIEE Catalog page: https://warehouse.swift.state.mn.us/analytics/saw.dll?catalog 3.2 ENTER YOUR SWIFT USER ID AND PASSWORD, THEN CLICK THE SIGN IN BUTTON The web links above will take you to the OBIEE Sign In page, shown below. 3.3 SIGNING INTO OBIEE AND VIEWING THE OBIEE MAIN MENU You may see the Signing in message (pictured below) while the OBIEE online application is being loaded. Once you are signed into the OBIEE online application, you will see the page indicated by the web link you followed (either your OBIEE Home page or the Catalog page from the links in Section 3.1 above).
