TEC-Maximo integration IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC) MS SQL server 2000 Project scope: IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC) is an event management software system that collects, consolidates and correlates events from a variety of event sources across the managed network, initiating automated corrective action when appropriate, in order to reduce the number of events that require human intervention to a manageable size. The project aim was to automate opening of Maximo Service Desk tickets in response to TEC events that meet previously defined criteria in order to accelerate the resolution process, reducing mean time to repair and probably solve the problem before it is reported by customers or becomes worse. Moreover, after a ticket is opened in Maximo, subsequent updates to the ticket automatically result in corresponding updates to the originating TEC event and all correlated event. When the ticket is closed, all TEC events associated with the ticket are also closed.
TEC-TIM-Omni Bus Integration Tivoli Enterprise Console (TEC) Tivoli Monitoring (TIM) Tivoli Netcool OmniBus The project aim was to seamlessly integrate TEC (as an event store), Monitoring (as a server monitoring software) and omnibus as a network management software in order to automatically transfer events detected by either TIM or OmniBus to TEC as a centralized console for both administrators and NOC agents to guarantee instant detection of server or network failures or service interruptions and acting accordingly without waiting for end users to ask for assistance. Integration is done through integration adapters provided from IBM. Adapter customization is carried out to achieve the desired integration scenario and to guarantee compliance to the customer needs. Adapter customization involves developing Perl scripts.
Maximo - OmniBus/TEC Provisioning Monitoring Integration Tivoli Enterprise Console IBM Provisioning Tivoli Netcool OmniBus MS SQL 2005 server The project aims to introduce a fully automated fault detection and reporting solution targeted to enterprise level customers who apply ITIL or equivalent IT standards. IBM Provisioning carries out IT asset discovery where asset records and information is to be transferred to Maximo for service and asset management The solution goal is to achieve seamless automatic detection of IT service failures or interruption and automatically reporting it to the call center agents through opening tickets automatically on Maximo providing all the information needed by call center agent or even administrators to diagnose and identify the underlying problem. Whenever Tickets are closed, the events are cleared from the event store. The project included working with various adapters and middlewares for integration and included working on various operating systems as well.

Maximo Microsoft SMS integration 6.2 7.1 Microsoft SMS MS SQL server 2000/2005 SMS is an IT asset provisioning software widely used for various purposes. The project aim is to integrate Maximo with SMS in order to automatically get all the IT assets imported into maximo for the purpose of both asset and service management. IT assets discovery is held by SMS and saved in its own database. Maximo extracts assets information from SMS database through mapping both SMS and Maximo schemas and transfers it to its own database for asset and service management. The integration process involves detecting mapping errors between both schemas and fixing the resulting errors till achieving accurate and continuous data transfer between the two databases.
