Introduction The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at John Hunter Children s Hospital is about to undergo redevelopment. The redevelopment will occur over four (4) stages. Stage 1 will commence in March/April 2015 and at the commencement of Stage 1 current offices will be temporarily relocated to vacate the area for development. This document identifies the location of temporary office spaces within the old HMRI area; who will reside in the offices and what equipment is required to ensure a safe workspace. Throughout the document are some schematic diagrams to allow easier visualisation of the space and the requirement of office furniture. These diagrams are not to scale or exact, although the areas have been measured. The diagram on Page 2 identifies the office relocations described in this document and the new entry/exit point. 1 P age

Room number 3601- will be occupied by Nurse Manager Marie Mannion. Currently in this office most of the space is taken up by a return desk. The following is a proposal of the room layout for Marie s use. Room number 3600 - to be occupied by Dr. Chris Wake, Dr. Javeed Travadi and Dr. Larissa Korostenski. This room currently contains old and broken office furniture that needs to be removed. Room number 3599- to be occupied by the Director of Newborn Services Dr. Paul Craven The furniture in this room is in good condition and in a good position. Room dimensions are 3500mm wide along window wall 4200mm long. Plan: Retain- desk and overhead shelving. Keep file drawers under desk. Data points C1 and C2 for computer/ telephone. Also activate B1 & B2 for printer. To relocate a small desk from another area to accommodate printer next to sink. Remove- three filing cabinets- were removed January 2015 7 P age

Room number 3598- to be occupied by Dr Rebecca Glover, Dr. Keort de Waal and Dr. Anil Lakkundi. This room is currently set up as an office for one person and will need to be refitted to suit three people. Room number 3591- to be occupied by Secretarial Staff and a Clinical Support officer. The current furniture in this room is unworkable as the desk space is too narrow to safely house a computer workstation and therefore needs to be replaced. Relocate free standing desks from current secretaries office 3660 and one from current CSO office 3633. Relocate filing drawers from current secretaries office. 11 P age

Room 3590- Will be occupied by the Research Team. The occupants will be two research nurses Jane Buchan and Ros Black and the Research Fellow. A workstation will be set up for a Research Student. This room is full of furniture and contains a sink and shower that all need to be removed before it can be refurnished to accommodate office staff as identified in the following photographs. The proposed layout of this office space is outlined on page 13. Plan: Retain- Shelving room divider. Remove sink and shower. Remove- all other office equipment and stored items. Relocate - This room requires four office desks. Two of the desks are to be relocated from the Research office (number 3644) and two from current storage space. All grey desks. Data points- There is a data plate and data point B1 & B2- to be reactivated. Room requires 4 double data points for four computers and a minimum of 2 telephones. 12 P age

In summary Following the completion of the new corridor, communication cupboard and removal of excess furniture left behind by HMRI staff this area needs to be thoroughly cleaned. It is currently extremely dusty. Old and used office furniture and disposal items need to be removed as per plan prior to relocation of current office furniture and office staff.
