Double-click Local Disk (C:). Right-click in empty space, point to New, click Folder. Type Lab11 and press Enter. c. Right-click Lab11 folder and click Share. Type Users in the text box and click Add. Click the drop-down arrow for Users and select Coowner.
d. Click Share and when Network Discovery starts flashing on the toolbar, click on it. Click No, make the network that I am connected to a private network. e. Copy the link and click Done.
f. Back in the Local Disk (C:) window, double-click Lab11 to open it. g. Right-click in empty space, point to New, click Text Document. Type SEA-SVR1 and press Enter. Double-click SEA-SVR1 to open it. h. Type Contents of SEA-SVR1 during Task 1 of 1. Click File-Save. i. Close Document SEA-SVR1 and Lab11 window.
Task 2 Configure shadow copies of shared folders a. Right-click Local disk (C) and click Properties. b. Click the Shadow Copies tab. Click Enable. Click Yes to confirm.
c. Click Settings. d. Click Schedule.
e. Click OK. f. Click OK three times to back out of Properties. g. Restart the SEA-SVR1 computer. Select and click OK.
Task 3 Confirming Shadow Copies Functionality. a. Log on SEA-SVR1 with the Username: Administrator Password: Pa$$w0rd b. Click Start. Paste your created path into the text box. Press Enter. c. In the right pane, double-click SEA-SVR1. d. Type Text added to Task 1 of 1.
e. Save and close the SEA-SVR1.txt file. Confirm, reopen and close the file. f. Right-click SEA-SVR1,txt file, and click Restore previous versions. g. Click Open.
h. Original version confirmed. Click Cancel. i. Right-click Local Disk (C:) and click Properties Click the Shadow Copies tab.
j. Click Create Now to create a second copy. Click OK. k. Click Start. Type \\SEA-SVR1\Lab11 and press Enter. l. Open SEA-SVR1.txt file. Type More Text added to Task 1 of 1. Click File-Save. Close the file.
m. Reopen and close the file to confirm that your edit was successful. n. Return to Lab11 shared folder. Right-click SEA-SVR1.txt, and click Restore previous versions. Select the newer Shadow copy and click open. o. Back in Lab11 folder window, right-click SEA-SVR1 and select Delete. p. Click Yes.
q. Close the Lab11 folder. r. Reopen the Lab11 folder. Right-click Lab11 and click Restore previous versions.
s. Select the newer version. Click Restore twice and click OK to confirm. t. Double-click the Lab11 shared folder.
u. Confirm that eh SEA-SVR1.txt file is in place and contains the edited content. v. Log off from SEA-SVR1 and SEA-DC1.

Log on SEA-DC1 with the Username: LP\Administrator Password: Pa$$w0rd Log on SEA-SVR1 with the Username: Administrator Password: Pa$$w0rd b. Click Start-Server Manager. Click Features-Add Features. c. Scroll down and expand Windows Server backup Features. Place a checkmark next to Windows Server Backup. Click Next. d. Click Install.
e. Click Close on the Results window. f. Ensure that the Lab11 folder you created earlier is still located in Drive C. g. Click Start-Administrative Tools-Windows Server Backup. h. Select Backup Once in the right-pane Actions menu. i. Ensure Different options is selected. Click Next.
j. Ensure Local drives is selected. Click Next. k. Ensure the second hard drive in the drop-down box is selected. Click Next.
l. When the warning box appears click Yes to continue. m. Ensure VSS copy backup option is selected and click Next.
n. Click Backup. o. The backup will take some time to complete. You can Close this window now and the backup will continue in the background.
Task 2 Restore from backup. a. Restart SEA-SVR1 and log on. Open Server Manager. Expand Storage and click Disk Management. Double-click Volume C to open. b. Right-click Lab11 folder and click Delete.
c. Click Yes. d. Click Continue. e. Ensure This server (SEA-SVR1) is selected and click Next.
f. Click Next. g. Ensure Files and folders is selected and click Next.
h. Expand SEA-SVR1-Local Disk (C:). Click Lab11 and click Next. i. Accept default and click Next in the Specify recovery options window. j. Click Recover in the Confirmation window.
k. Click Close. l. Confirm that Lab11 folder and it s contents are recovered. Click Start- Computer and double-click Local disk (C:). Double-click Lab11 and open the SEA-SVR1 text document. The folder is no longer Shared.
Installing and Configuring Disk Quotas Task 1 Install the File Server Resource Manager role service a. Click Start-Server Manager-Roles-Add roles. Click Next. b. Place a checkmark next to File Services and click Next. c. Place a checkmark next to File Server Resource Manager and click Next. d. Place a checkmark next to Local Disk (C:) drive. Click Next.
e. Click Next. f. Click Install. g. Click Close once the installation completes.
h. Click Start-Administrative Tools-File Server Resource Manager. i. Expand Quota Management, click Quota Templates. Right-click Quota Template and click Create Quota Template.
j. Type Lab 11 Quota Template in the Template Name text box. In the Space Limit area, type 1 and select KB from the drop-down box. Click OK. k. Back in File Server Resource Manager, click Quotas. Right-click Quotas and select Create Quota. Click Browse and select C:/Lab11 and click OK. In the drop-down box select Lab 11 Quota Template. Click Create
l. Open C:\Lab11 and create a new Text document. Click Cancel. Close Lab11 window. m. Right-click the quota that you created and click Delete Quotas. Click Yes to confirm.
n. Return to C:\Lab11 and create a new file named Exercise 4. You are able to create the file. Close all Windows and Log-off.
