Best Loan Insurance Policy Summary ABOUT THIS DOCUMENT: This is a summary of Best Loan Insurance, and does not include the full terms and conditions of the contract, which can be found in the policy wording. A specimen policy wording is available on request from Best Insurance. INSURER: The insurer for Best Loan Insurance is CIGNA Europe Insurance Company S.A.-N.V. Best Loan Insurance is managed and claims are administered on behalf of the insurer by Cigna Insurance Services (Europe) Limited. The policy is issued and administered on behalf of Cigna Insurance Services (Europe) Limited by Best Insurance which is a trading name of Best Risk Management and Financial Services Limited. WHAT IS BEST LOAN INSURANCE? Best Loan Insurance is designed to provide you with an income when you cannot work through disability, unemployment, or if you need to become a carer. AM I ELIGIBLE? Best Loan Insurance is available to anyone who at the start date of the policy: has taken out a finance agreement within the past 60 days; is aged 18 or over and under 65 years of age; is living and working permanently in the UK for at least 16 hours per week; is, in permanent employment, self-employed, or working on a fixed term contract, and is not aware of any impending unemployment, whether or not they have received official notice, and their employer has not announced any job losses, departmental or company restructure, or a merger with another company. If you: suffer from a medical condition; are a fixed term contract worker; are self-employed; have a family member who controls your employment; or have more than one job. You can still be eligible to claim but terms may apply. WHAT IF I AM SELF-EMPLOYED OR I HAVE OR A FAMILY MEMBER HAS CONTROL OF THE COMPANY THAT EMPLOYES ME? To claim for unemployment you must provide proof that you or your employer: have involuntarily ceased trading and declared this to the HM Revenue & Customs; and are registered as unemployed, available and actively looking for employment. WHAT IF I CHANGE MY EMPLOYMENT STATUS? Any change in your employment status may affect your entitlement to claim, therefore please notify us of any changes as soon as possible.

WHAT ARE THE SIGNIFICANT FEATURES AND BENEFITS OF BEST LOAN INSURANCE? As well as offering three months free cover at the start of the policy Best Loan Insurance provides the following significant features and benefits: DISABILITY COVER Best Loan Insurance pays benefits if you are unable to work due to disability. Disability means an accident or sickness that is certified by a doctor. Normal pregnancy or childbirth is not classified as disability. UNEMPLOYMENT COVER Best Loan Insurance pays benefits if you become unemployed. Unemployed means being out of paid work, registered with the Jobcentre Plus or relevant government agency, available for and actively seeking work. BACK TO WORK ASSISTANCE Best Loan Insurance includes a telephone assistance service. This service is available should you ever be faced with unemployment. The advisers will provide advice and guidance on a range of issues and they will also provide you with an information pack to assist you in securing another job. CARER COVER Best Loan Insurance pays benefits if have to give up work to become a carer. Becoming a carer means looking after a member of your immediate family on a full-time basis and are either in receipt of or awaiting a Carer s Allowance from the Department for Work and Pensions. HOW MUCH CAN I INSURE? The maximum monthly benefit you select should not be more than 60% of your monthly income before tax or 2000, whichever is less. WHAT ARE THE SIGNIFICANT EXCLUSIONS OR LIMITATIONS OF BEST LOAN INSURANCE? As with all insurances there are exclusions which apply to Best Loan Insurance. Full details can be found under the What We will not cover sections of the policy wording. The main exclusions that apply to Best Loan Insurance are as follows: DISABILITY AND UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIMS Any medical condition which occurs in the first 12 months of the policy as a result of any medical condition for which treatment had been given or diagnosis commenced during the 12 months before the start date of your Best Loan Insurance. UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIMS Unemployment known to be impending at the of the start date of your Best Loan Insurance, whether or not you had received official notice.

Unemployment which arises from any programme of job losses, any departmental or company restructure, or merger with another company, announced by your employer before the start date of your Best Loan Insurance. If you were not in employment for six consecutive months prior to your first unemployment claim. If you are a contract worker and: your contract ends before its natural expiry date; benefit will not be paid for any period beyond the date your contract would have otherwise naturally expired; or the natural expiry date of your contract, unless: immediately prior to your claim you have been employed on a fixed term contract with the same employer for a period of 24 consecutive months or more; or you were previously employed on a permanent contract with the same employer. Unemployment which is voluntary or a normal or seasonal occurrence of your work. Unemployment after a period of casual, temporary or occasional work. If you qualify for an unemployment claim but continue to work part-time you will be entitled to a proportion of your monthly benefit. We will work this out according to the proportions of your average gross income received from all jobs before your claim. CARER CLAIMS If you know that a member of your immediate family would require a carer at the start date of your Best Loan Insurance. OTHER SIMILAR INSURANCES If you are also claiming disability, unemployment or carer benefits under other income, repayment or Loan insurance policies, the monthly benefit will be reduced so that the total benefits paid, under all such insurances does not exceed 60% of your gross monthly income. You will receive a proportionate refund of premium.. REVIEW OF PREMIUM RATES AND POLICY TERMS We periodically review premium rates and policy terms and have the right to amend them to reflect: the actual or projected increases or reductions in the claims experience from all of the policies of the same type issued by the insurer; changes in the general law or to the decisions of the Financial Ombudsman Service, or; to meet regulatory requirements or to reflect new industry guidance and codes of practice which are there to raise standards of consumer protection. We will give you 90 days written notice of any such changes. WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THIS POLICY? Best Loan Insurance operates on a monthly basis and continues after the three month free period for each month that you pay your premium. Best Loan Insurance can continue until you retire, reach the age of 65, or you or the insurer cancel. WHAT ARE THE CANCELLATION RIGHTS? When you receive your policy documents you must read them carefully. If for any reason you find that Best Loan Insurance does not meet your needs, you can cancel it within 30 days of receipt. Both you and the insurer can cancel Best Loan Insurance in other circumstances. You need to give the insurer 14 days notice and the insurer will need to give you 90 days notice, other than in the event of fraud or non payment of premium. It may become necessary for the insurer to cancel your policy due to: you failing to disclose any material information that we ask for in your application for Best Loan Insurance or in relation to any claim; any actual or predicted legal or regulatory requirement; an actual or projected unforeseen increase in claims under all policies of the same type issued by

us, or; an unforeseen event that prevents us from continuing to provide or administer your policy. Full details are contained in the policy wording HOW DO I NOTIFY YOU OF A CLAIM? The policy is administered on behalf Cigna Insurance Services by Best Insurance. Best Insurance is responsible for complaints arising out of the issue and administration of the policy.
