Access control system Database design Software design and implementation Project I-Bex(3 Years) I-Bex Video Analytics Platform is a software framework which is developed using Capra Image Processing Platform and provides the users with video analytics ability especially for security applications. I-Bex is a framework which acquires video images from different cameras and processes these images while setting the communication between cameras and analyzes the video series in accordance with the parameters entered by the user depending on the requirements of the specific application. We selected school/campus security as the pilot study during development process. I-Bex can be used in several sectors including civil and military security, retail and transportation. I-Bex Video Analytics Platform analyzes video images acquired from multiple sensors with its multi-threaded structure, generates the required outputs, enables monitoring the outputs, deriving statistics when necessary and compress and store data in desired format. One of the most important advantages of I-Bex is its inter-camera tracking (camera communication) performance. Field of view of a single camera is generally limited for effective security applications. If the field where tracking will be applies is broad, than multi-camera tracking is required. Tracking should continue when the targeted object leaves the field of view of one camera and enter into another s. This task is even harder when the fields of view of multiple cameras collide. Through the embedded and distributed communication architecture of I-Bex, inter-camera communication and tracking performance of I-Bex is very high. I-Bex comprises of high-performance filters which detects threatening situations and violations (such as suspicious grouping, loitering, unattended packages, wrong parking and speed limit violations) and generate alarms in case of any threat which can be detected by cameras. It is can be used by software development companies and integrators which develop products and solutions for shopping malls, metro stations, bus terminals, schools and campuses where there is intensive human traffic and thus security is an important concern.
