April 10, 2014 WSC now has a communications team and our goal is to keep you up to date with WSC activities around the world. We thank all those who have supported WSC over the first five years of our growth. Some of you have volunteered time at the WSC clinics in Botswana and India, some have donated time, expertise and in-kind support, and some of you have made generous donations. Without your support WSC could not be where it is today. We especially appreciate the confidence you showed in us through your donations during the time that WSC was at the beginning stage of its development and establishing a reputation. Your faith is a testament to your belief in WSC and its mission and we cannot thank you enough for all you have done. With your help, WSC has been able to grow into a well established nonprofit organization with a stellar global reputation. Through your generosity, we have touched the

Stay Connected lives of thousands of people who were disabled by spinal pain. Here are a few testimonials from patients in Botswana: Matereki, Gasebomo, and Gabaseme. Through this newsletter we hope to update you on how and where your support has taken WSC and what we have accomplished thanks to you. WSC's accomplishments Current Projects: India The clinic in Ranthambhore India was created in 2011 through collaboration with the Prakratic Society, a non-profit organization that is doing great work in the area. They are about to finish the construction of a new hospital that will include space for World Spine Care. We anticipate that this project will be staffed again by the end of 2014. Current Projects: Botswana The Botswana clinics in Mahalapye and Shoshong were opened in 2012 and represented the flagship clinics for The first team after the WSC with the opening of the Shoshong clinic being Shoshong Clinic the first true rural primary spine care center. It is the village where WSC is studying the impact of spinal disorders on the community and where several programs have been implemented including "Straighten up", a scoliosis screening program in the primary schools, and where the WSC model of care is being developed and tested. Recently, Dr. Outerbridge was interviewed by Botswana Television talking about WSC.

Page 3 of 5 Building Capacity WSC has been building local capacity by hosting the first spine care conference in Mahalapye, educating local health care professional and, Hilda Molate from through collaborating Gaborone, Botswana institutions, offering scholarships to qualified students to study chiropractic and eventually return to take over management of the clinics. The first scholarship recipient, Hilda Molate from Gaborone, Botswana, has begun her studies at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa. All of the WSC clinics will eventually be handed over to local government control with well trained primary spine care practitioners and continued WSC support. A world class model of care WSC is currently developing and evidence based, interprofessional, sustainable model of care based on long term presence. We hope our model will become the standard for primary spine care in under-served regions around the world. Research The WSC research team has been very busy. Maria Hondras has just completed her data collection in the village of Shoshong, looking at the burden of spinal disorders in that community. The clinical data collection has been ongoing in Shoshong and Mahalapye and WSC has developed a new outcome measure for all it's clinics that is currently in the pilot testing stage. What is ahead for WSC

Page 4 of 5 2014 promises to be a busy year. We are about to open clinics in Tanzania and the Dominican Republic and our research program will take a large step forward. We now have a marketing and fundraising team that will be updating our website and giving a more professional feel to our media. Tanzania The project in Tanzania is a joint collaboration between the Magu District Ministry of Health, the Tanzania Home Economics Association, Global Peace Network Kanyama village community center project, and World Spine Care. A memorandum of understanding has been signed by all the participating organizations and the project will launch by the middle of 2014. Dominican Republic The project in Moca, Dominican Republic is a collaboration between the DR ministry of health, Fondacion Sol Dr. Tavares and Dr. Naciente and World Outerbridge meeting Spine Care. A with the medical memorandum of directors in Moca understanding between these groups has been signed, a clinic facility identified and plans are underway to launch this project by the end of 2014. We hope that you are pleased by the progress of WSC and proud of your contribution to the success of our organization, our projects, and the impact that we have had on the communities and people that we serve. Feel free to connect with us. We would love to hear your thoughts and ideas. Sincerely, Geoff Outerbridge
