1. Introduction Eureka supports the enhancement of the industry competitiveness through R&D&I international collaborative projects Intergovernmental initiative established in 1985 to foster the competitiveness of European industry 41 full members: EU-28, EU and 12 other countries Decentralized management, evaluation and funding Market-oriented: marketable product, process or service Open call but countries can set-up multi/bilateral calls
2. Eureka projects At least 1 entity in Spain and Norway All the partners within the consortium must have R&D tasks. Bottom-up: consortium decides, no thematic restriction The result of project has to be a product, process or service marketable in the short/medium term Partners must have technical and financial viability to undertake their contribution A consortium agreement must be signed including information of exploitation of results

Funding: Norway (NRC) Programs for user-driven innovation (115 M in 2013) General Energy: Gas, Petroleum, Maritime-Offshore Enviroment, Food, Bio and transport Large programes (155 M in 2013) TIC, Biotech, Nano/materials, Aquaculture, clean energy, Climate change and petroleum Other instruments (5 M in 2013) Project establishment

Funding: Spain (CDTI) EEA Grants call If the EEA application cannot match the EEA call criteria or cannot be sent in time: EUREKA is an alternative and could be finance through CDTI funding tools R&S projects or innovative projects Only for companies Credit up to 75% of eligible costs Minimum budget for each company: 175,000 euros 25% of the credit in advance

Conclusions Projects between Norway and Spain can be supported by Eureka: Funding alternative, Access to an international network for promotion of the results Advisory services from your NPC Next steps Match your idea within the Eureka criteria Contact your Eureka NPC Be aware of the national funding tools available Prepare the Eureka application with the advice of your NPC Wait for the Eureka meetings to obtain the Eureka label (3 or 4 times per year)
