OUR TEAM DWAYNE HAMEISTER, MANAGING PARTNER, AFA DARWIN Dwayne Hameister started his career in the financial services sector in 1986 when he commenced work with one of the major banks in Adelaide. He quickly escalated through the ranks and found himself working throughout the South Australian regions. In 1996 he was posted to Alice Springs where he quickly developed a love for the Territory lifestyle. Three years later he was posted to Darwin and in 2002 was headhunted to join the AFA team. With over twenty-eight years of experience in the finance sector, Dwayne is a Certified Financial Planner and has an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services. In his role as Managing Director, Dwayne continues to grow the business through outstanding financial knowledge and a superior approach to customer service. Dwayne s easy-going nature and personable approach makes complex decisions a more enjoyable experience and he takes pleasure in assisting clients to achieve their financial goals and objectives. KERRY MCKENZIE, MORTGAGE SOLUTIONS SPECIALIST Kerry McKenzie, a partner with Australian Financial Advisers, commenced her career in 1984 when she first worked with one of the major banks in South Australia. Realising her passion for the industry, her performance saw her rapidly promoted. In this time, Kerry worked as a lending officer and personal banker before completing a real estate course in 2007. When she was offered the opportunity to join AFA as a mortgage consultant, she realised her passion was in finance. Kerry finds enormous satisfaction in helping clients find the best possible loan solution, all for no charge. Her service continues after settlement. Clients are free to call or email with any new lending questions or questions on existing loans. Kerry also takes pride in building trusting relations with her clients. Her outstanding customer ethos has earned Kerry a number of accolades including a Professional Excellence Award. Kerry also works in partnership with Raine and Horne to assist clients looking to buy a home. Kerry s qualifications include Certificate IV in Financial Services and Diploma of Financial Services.
NOEL LAND, FINANCIAL PLANNER Noel has been involved in insurance and financial services since he first left school in 1968. In 1976, Noel moved to the Northern Territory and subsequently held various roles with MLC including Northern Territory Manager, from 1986 to 1995. Noel has also been involved with community based organisations, including a stint managing the affairs of the local YMCA from 1998 to 2003. He is a Life Member of YMCA and the Kiwanis Club of Casuarina. Nowadays, Noel undertakes more of a back-up role and is involved in compliance function. His love of detail & penchant for reading ensures that the local AFA team is up to date on important matters that affect both the organisation and their clients. Noel s plethora of qualifications includes Certified Financial Planner, Bachelor of Business (Management), Graduate Diploma of Education, Graduate Certificate in Legal Studies, Diploma of Financial Planning and Diploma of Life Insurance. JOCELYN CULL, EXECUTIVE RELATIONSHIP MANAGER Jocelyn Cull joined the AFA team in 2013. She has extensive experience working with the construction and resources sector, as well as government bodies, community and not-for-profit organisations. Her areas of expertise are in corporate communications, business development and one-on-one or group level facilitation. ANGELO MAGLIERI, FINANCIAL PLANNER AFA Darwin Director and Financial Adviser, Angelo Maglieri is a born and bred Territorian. Starting work in the public sector, Angelo was headhunted by the AFA team in 1996 to take on the role of Fire and General Insurance Manager for the business s insurance agency. In 2004, Angelo became a partner of AFA Darwin and in 2007, completed the Financial Planning Association of Australia s accreditation as a Certified Financial Planner. After seventeen years experience in the industry, Angelo s passion for financial planning remains strong. His technical experience and subject matter expertise is evident and he enjoys an outstanding reputation amongst his peers. His approach is to empower clients through knowledge which helps them make decisions that are appropriate to their individual circumstances. She also holds a passionate belief in the importance of outstanding stakeholder relations. Previously, Jocelyn was the Principal Consultant of her own company which specialised in corporate communications, Indigenous engagement and stakeholder relations. Jocelyn has also been responsible for a European Union program where she managed community and small to medium enterprise business development, as well inter-governmental co-operative endeavours with local authorities and government agencies in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree.
