The last two presentations begin at 10.00: The Netherlands and Poland Lunch Students have their packed lunches while teachers enjoy a sandwich in the staff room 11.00 11.30 Group Work 11.30 13.45 In mixed groups of 5 persons the students will work on innovative ideas on how small towns might communicate their history to young people. We assume that our local history is part of our collective identity. But unless we talk about it and put it into words, our identity will remain subconscious and out of reach to us. In order to raise awareness about our history small towns have museums and various events to commemorate local history and its heroes. It is, however, not always easy to reach a young audience. It is your job to come up with innovative ideas! You may beg, steal and borrow from the internet, your local experience, your education, the presentations you have seen, the museum you have visited, etc.,etc. You must sketch your ideas on a poster. Each group will have 3 4 teachers to assist them. On Friday morning you will have the opportunity to presents your ideas. The teachers will assist the groups, but will also have the opportunity to talk about the upcoming meeting in Holland. Afternoon in Elsinore We walk to the station and at 14.00 foreign students and teachers take the train to Elsinore. We visit the sights including Hamlet s Castle Kronborg and the small narrow streets. The students return by train at 16.49 arriving in Hillerød 17.20 where they meet the Danish students. Teachers take the train to Louisiana Museum and have dinner there at 18.00. We return to Hillerød by taxi. Those departing Friday evening may consider bringing their luggage and storing it at Central Station if they don t want to go back to Hillerød. The Danish students are the guides in Copenhagen.
