When using an IPR100, IPR110+ or IPR400 in a radio network with either IPRdispatch or 960SIP consoles, there is very little configuration required in the IPR device. This document explains how to enable the SIP option and adjust the levels for the connected radio(s) using the below network example: Please note that it is not necessary (and possibly problematic) to configure the Remote Address in any IPR device, when using an Omnitronics SIP console. Indeed, the Remote Address should actually be set to 0.0.0.0 to stop the unit from sending any standard RTP traffic. IPR Device Setup In the IPR device s web interface, go to the SIP Configuration screen. Note that for the IPR100 and IPR110+ you must be in Advanced Mode to access this. Firstly, tick the SIP Enable check box. Secondly, record down the SIP Port number (The default is 5060) and the user name for each device/channel. Page 1 of 7

As the IPR400 can have up to four channels, each channel will be identified with a different name: Page 3 of 7
IPRdispatch Setup Go to Setup to see the Configuration Settings Screen. Under the General Options tab ensure that the SIP port and RTP ports are correct. The SIP Port is the port that IPRdispatch or an IPR120 will use to connect to a remote IPR device. This must match with the SIP Port Number set in the IPR device. It is automatically set at the default number (5060) that all IPR devices have if they have not been changed. The RTP Port is the port number that the devices will start at when negotiating a SIP connection. The RTP traffic will then be sent to and from each device on a negotiated port number above the default which is 40000. Page 4 of 7
Once this is done, go to the Channel Options tab. This is where you put in all the addresses of the channels that you recorded from the IPR devices web interface: For an IPR100 or IPR110+ this will be sip:<username>@<ipaddress>. The default user name is ipr. For an IPR400, the SIP URI will be sip:<username>@<ipaddress>. The default user name is group 1, group 2, group 3 or group 4 dependant on the channel within the IPR400 you wish to connect to. Page 5 of 7
960SIP Console Setup Alternatively, if you are using a 960SIP console, the setup is done within the IPR120. Within the Web Interface, go to the SIP Configuration screen: Similar to the IPRdispatch setup, the SIP Port and SIP URI s must be set up. This is done at the SIP UDP Port and Remove Device List URL s fields respectively. Page 6 of 7
Multiple Operators If the system has more than one Operator, it is usually a requirement that they can hear each other s transmit audio. This must be setup at each IPR device through their web interface: It is necessary to Enable Conferencing with the Conference Mode marked as Bridge Server: Audio Linked. Note that this conference mode is not the default when enabling conferencing. By doing this you will ensure that any RTP traffic received by the device will be automatically sent back to any other Operator monitoring the same channel. It is also important that you do not select any addresses under Enable IP Address as this is already managed by SIP. Page 7 of 7
