SHORTLIST of OPTIONS (STATING AND ) All options assume the model of service is for centralised acute inpatient facilities with enhanced, dispersed community based. All except option 1 for all units assumes a move to 85% occupancy. The predicted bed numbers are dependent on the core elements of service development. The options (except option 1) assume the core elements of service development are implemented i.e.: Intensive community support to prevent some admissions and aiding earlier discharge. Changes to the rehabilitation model to enable patients to move through the spectrum of in a timely manner. Development of required numbers of supported accommodation to prevent delays in discharge. Increase in therapeutic interventions available. Series 1: Do Nothing Option 1 Acute inpatient provision continues from the current wards on the Crichton Royal Hospital (CRH) site. Inpatient rehabilitation continues from Wellgreen and Lahraig. Intensive Care facility not developed.

Series 4. Provide from New Build Option 4(a)(iii) & (v) New Build, all - CRH/DGRI/Ladyfield site New Build for Adult Acute I/P, including intensive care New Build for Older Adult (functional and organic) colocated Older (Functional) New Build New site close enough to receive assistance from acute Split level development on sloping site residences site Limited access to servicing on residences site Staff residences to be reprovided Limited car parking Site yet to be found for Rehab close enough to receive assistance from acute Option 4(a)(iii) & (vi) New Build, all - CRH/DGRI/Ladyfield site As option 4(a)(iii)&(v) except: As option 4(a)(iii)&(v) plus: Office accommodation going to level 1 above the hub would make planning permission more difficult

Option 4(b)3 - (iii) & (v) New Build, all on one site - new site New Build for Adult Acute I/P, including intensive care New Build for Older Adult (functional and organic) colocated Older (Functional) Site owned by Scottish Ministers with current tenants being Scottish Agricultural College Option 4(b)3 - (iii) & (vi) New Build, on different sites As option 4(b)3(iii)&(v) except: As option 4(b)3(iii)&(v) plus: Office accommodation going to level 1 above the hub would make planning permission more difficult
