Your strategic partner for quality custom machining

The Flinchbaugh Company has been a provider of quality custom machining and related shop services since 1936. Our proactive approach and operating philosophy offer customers an attractive product sourcing alternative that we call total value purchasing. Customers significantly benefit from long-term relationships with us. Customer-specific requirements are met through the use of strategic capital investments in state-of-the-art equipment and processes. Additionally, entire sourcing solutions are offered, which include supply chain, on-time delivery, and inventory control management. Far-sighted customers enjoy overall savings through reductions in inspections, quality costs, transportation, and administrative functions. This approach takes into account total part cost, not simply unit cost.

Controller at Mori Seiki NV 5000 Vertical Mill Total Value Purchasing We have a philosophy at The Flinchbaugh Company to look at the long-term picture. This approach facilitates greater overall efficiencies for key customers, rather than focusing solely on short-term unit costs. Timely delivery of high quality products is our business but we bring added value through what we call total value purchasing. Supply chain management Flinchbaugh has considerable expertise in supply chain management, which is a significant underpinning of our philosophy of total value purchasing. Our emphasis is on highly efficient long-term relationships with customers. We have a clear understanding of the objectives senior purchasing people have in terms of overall cost optimization. Strategic outsourcing We integrate with our vendors and our customers vendors to provide strategic sourcing solutions. This integration provides greater efficiency. Customers benefit from a reduction in procedures such as transportation and inspection, and administrative overhead costs saving time and money. Raw material and support service sourcing is managed against stringent ISO 9001:2000 standards. On-time delivery Raw material delivery and production process scheduling are managed through our JobBOSS ERP job tracking system to ensure on-time delivery to customers. JobBOSS is the most widely-used and trusted software designed specifically for job shops, custom manufacturers, and high-tech shops. All job tracking information is logged into our system at the initiation of each customer order. The entire process is then tracked through delivery to ensure commitment dates are met. Inventory control Flinchbaugh offers inventory management to customers as an additional value-added service. If customer purchases are limited to specific release quantities and dates, but inventory is desired for both fluctuations in demand and production volume efficiency advantages, Flinchbaugh will stock and manage inventory to agreed levels.

LNS Bar Feeder Mori Seiki NV 5000 during operation Strategic Technology Focus New owners of The Flinchbaugh Company in 2005 recognized that the future of the business lay in ensuring that all company investment focused on the changing demands of customers. We continually evaluate and update the facilities and equipment at Flinchbaugh to ensure they remain state-of-the-art and focused on providing value added service to customers under ISO 9001:2000 certification and Mil. Spec compliance. We also structure capital resources so they are aligned with the needs of our strategic partners. Customers who recognize the value in a far-sighted perspective and the overall efficiencies that can be realized with a long-term partner are highly valued by Flinchbaugh and they benefit most from our continual investment in equipment. An up-to-date equipment and capabilities list is always available on our website, www.flinchbaugh.com. We also invite companies interested in machining and related services to contact us at any time to discuss specific requirements. Customer Service Customer relationships are a critical aspect of our approach to doing business at The Flinchbaugh Company. Virtually everything we do, from actual production and delivery processes to the long-term structuring of our resources, is geared towards the satisfaction of valued customers. Our staff and systems are therefore set up to provide an open culture for customers to contact us at any time regarding any need, as well as responsiveness to every communication.

Our total value approach enables customers to streamline purchasing. As a unified source, rather than focusing on unit price, we save them time and reduce overhead increasing overall efficiency. Gregory Jenkins, President, The Flinchbaugh Company Quality Inspection Lab Commitment to Excellence Certification & standards Our quality control staff serve as the voice of the customer, representing their best interests throughout the entire process of quotation, contract review, production, and delivery. Equipment operators are also critical components of process control. Our philosophy is that quality is integrated into every project, just as all practices are incorporated in our ISO 9001:2000- certified quality system. All manufacturing data is controlled, ensuring reliable and accurate machining. Cost data is also maintained, enabling quick turnaround and highly competitive pricing. The Flinchbaugh Company not only holds ISO 9001:2000 certification, but also operates in compliance with the Government s MIL-I-45208A standards and Mil. Spec for CARC painting and welding. Our objective is satisfied customers who completely trust us for accurate production and timely delivery of high quality parts that meet all specifications. LEAN manufacturing In addition to ISO 9001:2000 certification and Mil. Spec compliance, Flinchbaugh implements the principles and practices of LEAN manufacturing. This means we strive to eliminate waste, optimize efficiency, and commit to a program of continuous improvement. The result is that we have been recognized by customers as an outstanding supplier of machining services and products, and were awarded Small Business Of The Year by a major Government supplier. These achievements stem from a company-wide pursuit to exceed every customer requirement and expectation on every job, every day. www.flinchbaugh.com
