Consilium Selux ST Radar Line New radar technology

Detect oil spill, ice and small targets with the new Consilium radar line. Selux ST Radar line A wide product range portfolio consisting of: State-of-the-art Navigational Radar The Consilium Selux ST Radar line fully complies and exceeds the Navigation requirements of Marine Equipment Directive (MED) 96/98/EC and the last modification by Directive 2011/75/EU. The radar line is Type Approved by BSH-cert notify body of the Federal Republic of Germany for radar equipment CAT 1 and CAT 2 as well as radar equipment for high speed craft applications CAT 1H and CAT 2H. IMO/SOLAS navigational radar equipment CAT 1 and CAT 2 for Merchant Vessels. IMO/SOLAS navigational radar equipment for high speed craft (HSC) CAT 1H and CAT 2H. IMO/SOLAS Navigational Electronic Chart Radar Systems according to IEC 62338. Modified-Off-The Shelf (MOTS) navigational radar equipment for Navy applications. Special radar equipment for Oil Spill, Anti-Piracy, Docking, Ice Navigation and Small Target Detection. Marine radar systems Consilium knowledge in designing and manufacturing Marine Radar Systems is based on 50 years experience. Following the latest developments in the radar technologies, in 2012 Consilium started the production of a new line of radar systems including a new line of S-band Transceivers designed and developed according to the latest available technology. The display line Selux ST has a high resolution rasterscan presentation by using full front electronic components grqant, functional flexibility and functional reliability, as well as outstanding MTBF figures. The new developed line has been sold to various domestic and foreign Owners for standard marine and Military applications. Solas V Minimum Carriage Requirement 1. All ships of 300 gross tonnage and upwards and passenger ships, irrespective of size, should be fitted with a 9 GHz X-band Radar. 2. All ships of 500 gross tonnage and upwards should have an automatic tracking aid. 3. All ships of 3000 gross tonnage and upwards should have a 3 GHz S-band radar or where considered appropriate by the administration a second 9 GHz X-band radar, functionally independent of those referred to in paragraph 1. The SRT X- and S-band radar sensors Available with 6, 9 or 12 feet antenna and 12 or 25 kw transceiver up-mast or 25 kw transceiver down-mast. Thanks to the modular design, the Selux ST radar display series can be flush mounted into a mechanical bridge console either assembled to form stand-alone desk-top or free standing display cabinet. Deck configuration Console mounting configurattion Table top configuration

Enhanced near range target detection The Selux ST Radar line has new anti-sea-clutter technology giving enhanced short range target detection performance without compromising the high resolution long range target detection. This applies to target resolution as well as target detection even in heavy sea or rain clutter and also ensures that land contours are clearly visible. The highest level of development The new configuration is characterized by reduced weight, small dimensions and compact electronics, offering the proper solution for installations on smaller vessels. Plug & play installation method The Selux ST Radar line has a new quick, easy and trouble free installation and service method with with external connections to the radar units made by snap-on connectors. Add-on multi-functional workstations Many operators have welcomed the upgrade possibilities with oil spill detection, ice detection and small target detection of the Selux ST Radar line. Consilium is the front runner in offering multi-function display integration with any one or all three of these features. Bridge integration gives real added value The perfect tool for ships in arctic waters Integration is available at many different levels making it a worthwhile option for a broad range of vessels. Superior processing and display of information significantly reduces the manual workload and greatly assists in decision making. It is a strict policy in Consilium to produce topof-the-range products that provide best in class performance.consilium s navigation product range include ECDIS, Conning Display, Speed Logs, Echosounders and VDR/S-VDR. Navigational radar for navy application Easy to install Easy to use Easy to maintain Consilium has a long tradition of providing high performance navigation radars for the most demanding customers who require special solutions. Supplying low weight/high performance solutions for fast patrol crafts designed for special operation in extreme climate conditions. The functionality, reliability and usability of Consilium solutions make them the preferred choice by a number of navies all over the world. All connections between Radar Units are through pre-terminated cables with connectors and it is not necessary to open the transceivers units during installation. Well defined menus and simple point-andclick virtual keys are complemented by dedicated push buttons for the most frequently used functions. All transceivers use the same electronics assuring their availability with our world-wide after sales and service network.

Twin PPI radar presentation Add-on Software feature to standard navigational Selux ST CCTV Picture-in-Picture Up to 3 selectable cameras per monitor FMCW radar USB dongle for FMCW radar integration FMCW radar integration Secondary PPI Primary radar at independent range scale or a secondary radar or FMCW (broadband) radar Video combination between primary and secondary radar Wide PPI Primary PPI Due to the fact that navigational radars are always focused on forward looking, the close range performance or the entire field of vision around the ship is often compromised. The FMCW Radar provides complete close range coverage within the pulse radar s blind spot. Targets can be detected within a 5m range ensuring that all potential threats are monitored. Two Radars on selectable sectors or overlaid with each other for superior performance. Add-on software features to Selux ST Special Edition The below applications requires a non type approved Selux ST Core Unit. USB dongle for Multi-functional workstation Wide Menu User selectable viewing area Primary Radar Secondary Radar Standard Detection Oil Spill Detection Multi-functional workstation Consilium has developed and tested an integrated unique multi-functional workstation. Developed and tested into Consilium s standard type approved IMO/Solas navigational radar. Ice Navigation Small Target Detection As a result, ships in force on regular operations can use the primary radar set as a traditional instrument for navigation and the secondary multifunctional radar display, interfaced to the primary radar, switched over to the advanced functions of Oil Spill Detection, Ice Navigation and Small Target Detection. Oil Spill Detection Radar for Oil Spill Recovery Vessels and environmental monitoring and protection Anti-piracy integrated system The Selux ST system introduces some key features that tackle the problem of piracy of merchant fleet and yachts. By utilizing FMCW radar s close range performance and zero radiation, fleet owners can build an anti-piracy system into the navigational radar system. Proven capability to detect oil on the water and to present relative signal damping inside the oil slick pattern. Consilium s Oil Spill Detection Radar, Selux ST 250/340 OSD has been found suitable for use in NOFO mode of operation. Successfully tested during NOFO Oil-On-Water exercises 2010 and 2012 Ice Detection Radar equipment for arctic vessels and ice breakers Using this system, the new ice pathways, already created by the ice breaker or rough areas in the ice banks, are clearly visible on the radar screens supporting both strategic route The Selux ST Ice navigation radar has been designed planning and tactical ice avoidance decisions for vessels operating in low temperature environments to assist the marine industry and reduce the potential serious risk of incidents in Arctic waters. Docking radar With optional FMCW (broadband) radar close range performance, the navigator or pilot can monitor the vessel relative to the dock or other structure right up to the point of contact. Total flexibility of installation is available due to zero radiation hazards and enabling scanner locations that are not possible with traditional radars.
