Inverter Technology OPERATION LIMIT Inverter Technology refers to the ability of the unit to modulate the power from 10% to 130% of the nominal value. The outdoor unit inverter is matched to EC motors on the indoor units. The entire system efficiently delivers cooling or heating to the conditioned space. Simply put, this means that the unit rarely goes through on/off cycles which are when traditional HVAC units use the most power. In fact, in standby mode, the power consumption is just one watt. Additionally, this also means that the unit will reach normal operating conditions much faster, which translates to reaching the indoor target temperature much more quickly. In some areas, the addition of an in-line electric furnace means getting a heating boost during those periods when the temperature drops. This add-on heat can help maintain your home s comfort during extreme weather periods, but then shut themselves off during normal operating conditions.

Intelligent Electronics The control board on the outdoor inverter unit acts like a server in a computer network. It operates each indoor unit separately and controls each individual unit basedon demand for heat or cooling. Advanced Freeze Protection There are several built in features that protect the unit from freezing in cold climates. First, the unit has a heater completely dedicated to prevent the compressor from freezing. It also has freeze protection on the bottom plate of the unit which also prevents the formation of ice. Dynamic Cold Draft, an active protection system preventing the emission of air that is noticeably colder than ambient temperature during heating operation and particularly during defrost stages. Antifreeze, this protection system prevents the formation of ice on the indoor unit heat exchanger when the system is working in cooling mode and there are particular temperature and humidity conditions. ifeel function, a comparative function that ensures optimum temperature settings based on the values read at the remote control sensor, the sensor in the indoor unit and the resulting ambient temperature stratification conditions, which are always different from one room to another. Intelligent air flap control, based on operating mode, which when combined with the ifeel function offers the maximum in comfort to counter air temperature stratification effects. Heat exchangers in high quality copper/aluminium with inorganic hydrophilic aluminium, which does not emit odors and provides top performance in heat exchange output and efficiency. Control Box Control box units are designed and built to be used with SDHV (Small Duct High Velocity) indoor units. In this way, they can be integrated in iseries systems, like any other indoor units. This control system brings a brand new feature for ducted indoor units: automatic control of air flow rate, according to indoor temperature set point. Why is this feature so important? The amount of air flow is always adjusted following the temperature difference between indoor spaces and setpoint. The result of this type of precise control is a very high level of comfort both in cooling and in heating operation. Control box units have three main components: main metal box, IR receiver and IR wireless controller. Can be connected to a variety of other home systems The iseries units can be connected to several other types of home systems, including Domotic systems (Home Automation) which makes it possible to get system alerts in the event the unit completely shuts off. The iseries units can also be integrated into photovoltaic (solar) systems or geothermal systems. Can be connected to a wide range of indoor units, including The Unico System and E Mix The outdoor units are unlike any other outdoor unit by making it incredibly easy to connect other products, most notably the Unico System, but also the upcoming E Mix which is a product that will make it possible for the outdoor unit to create domestic hot water even in cooling, an industry first. iseries will be the ONLY product that can connected to the E Mix. Multi Directional The remote control can be set to control four different units in an open space for unified control, or customized according to temperature, timer, operating mode, and all other functions. The remote can be programmed to control up to four different units at once, providing the ultimate control. The iseries works great, day in and day out, but some days, you need less cooling or heating, and some days, you need quite a bit more. The iseries can work its inverter technology so that when you need very little, the outdoor and indoor units can work in concert to use only 10% of the electrical power needed to generate the light cooling or heating you need to stay comfortable. However, on those days where you need additional heating or cooling to combat truly oppressive outdoor conditions, the iseries can ramp up to over 130% (for short periods) of the energy required to deliver suitable heating and cooling.
