1 Overview There are many questions facing any company deploying their teams in remote areas. How can I transfer data heavy files, like videos, quickly? How can I send a number of files simultaneously? How can I send sensitive content in a secure way? How can I save my files in a secure location while I m away from the office? How can I cover any event, anywhere, anytime? How can I communicate in a real time mode? Many remote devices such as data logger or utility meters have the ability to store information and communicate over a circuit-switched telephony data call with a central data management system. This is practical for environments where traditional telephony services are readily available. However, when these devices are installed in remote locations, communication becomes challenging and in many cases, very expensive. What s more, most circuit-switched network infrastructure is being phased out and replaced with IP based network, which can require an expensive system redesign. On-Go has developed a solution that allows the existing infrastructure to remain the same while providing all the benefits of packet-based, IP communications backbone. 1.1 The GlobeCast solution GlobeCast Content Exchange is a powerful file transfer and exchange tool that enables you to share audiovisual content as easily as sending an email, and broadcast live video as simply as using your webcam. Using a BGAN IP data connection, you can quickly send and receive your files and videos wherever they have been captured to as many of your contacts as you wish, simultaneously, and within a secure VPN environment. Unlike most email servers and programs, GlobeCast Content Exchange has no file size limits and is ideal for handling very large files with highly optimised transfers over BGAN and FleetBroadband. 2 Product range 2.1 File File offers an asynchronous content exchange service for audiovisual files in Unicast mode.
