Project design The design of your DAS network is a collaboration between you and your CommScope project team. Together we establish your coverage objectives, capacity requirements and scope of services. A thorough site survey enables us to undertand how your wireless performance may be impacted by factors such as the local macro cell environment and other RF issues. The initial assessment guides the preliminary design. This outlines the network configurations, power sharing architecture, sectorization plan and more. The preliminary design is tested, validated and optimized to produce the final detailed design that includes elements such as RF plumbing diagrams, DAS master unit and small cell controller layouts, and final scope and pricing for the project. Project implementation The DAS implementation process includes installation, commissioning, optimization, closeout and acceptance. All phases are carefully coordinated to minimize the impact on your business. During commissioning and optimization, DAS performance is tested and fine tuned to meet the requirements for capacity, coverage, connectivity, power levels, interference management, reporting and more. A test call from every sector ensures both uplink and downlink performance. CommScope also provides recommendations for optimizing surrounding macro sites in order to minimize potential interference. DESIGN INSTALL COMMISSION OPTIMIZE DOCUMENT The project ends with delivery of a complete document package. This includes verification of work and key aspects of your DAS system and performance, such as: Uplink and downlink attenuation levels Results of the final walk test Final antenna azimuth and downtilt report Updated system design files Final technical solution overview Current data sheets on all installed components 4 For more information, visit commscope.com
