Proposal: Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics Attachment to form JUS: Darla Moore School of Business August 18th, 2014 The DMSB Analytics Task Force is requesting changes to the core and elective courses required for the Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics that was originally approved in the last academic year. The changes include one additional core course (MGSC 891) and three additional elective courses (MKTG 717, CSCE 590 and FINA 772). We also removed some courses that are already required for most of our graduate majors (DMSB 712 and DMSB 719) so as to make the requirement for the certificate more rigorous. The addition to the core course is based on the feedback from interviews with the employers that our students need more training on databases and data extracting. The addition of the elective courses is intended to create more flexibility for our students in obtaining the certificate.
