To accomplish this goal, the National Statistics Office carries out an annual enterprise survey with the scope of measuring the dynamics of Information Society at a local level. The survey, which is in part financed by the European Commission, should ideally be completed by persons with a technical knowledge in the field of IT. COMMUNITY SURVEY ON ICT USAGE AND E-COMMERCE IN ENTERPRISES 2015 Glossary 3G, 3rd Generation 4G,4th Generation Business Process CRM DSL EDGE EDI e-commerce EDI, EDI-type e-invoice Employees/ Persons Employed ERP 3G or 3rd Generation, is a family of standards for mobile telecommunications (W-CDMA, CDMA2000, etc) defined by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). 3G devices allow simultaneous use of speech and data services and higher data transmission rates. 4G is the fourth generation of cellular wireless standards. It is a successor of the 3G and 2G families of standards. An internal computer network is a group of at least two computers connected together using a telecommunication system for the purpose of communicating and sharing resources within an enterprise. Intranet An internal company communications network using Internet protocol allowing communications within an organisation.
