W elcome to North Face Software s software. With this software, you can accomplish many of the day to day computer related tasks associated with a geological exploration data. Unlike GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Lagger 3D Exploration deals with digital data in a 3-D environment such as Drillhole and surface sample data. With this software, you will be able to enter and edit drillhole and sample data, create cross sections and level plans, perform simple queries and data manipulation tasks and visualize your data in a 3-D environment. What you can do: Data Entry: Enter detailed geological descriptions and build a geological database at the same time. Our software s unique system of keywords and dictionaries allows you to enter data seamlessly while typing.

Complete with Custom dictionaries including minerals, rock types, structures and much more Enter Detailed Header and Survey Data Customize data fields to suite your project s needs View data in multiple windows utilizing a powerful relational database engine. The native database used is a dbf (database file). The dbf file has very large capacity ~2 Gb and can store up to 1,000,000 records in a single table. Alternatively, the software can be connected to an Open Database using Microsoft s ODBC connectivity to such programs like Microsoft Access, Oracle or SQL server. The database can easily be imported and exported into many of the industry s standard mine modeling software programs using tools built into the software.

Drillhole Sample Data: Lagger 3D Exploration utilizes a unique and innovative data entry system for drillhole samples. Like most sample data entry systems, the software will allow you to enter sample numbers with location information such as From and To distance values. In addition to sample locations, our software provides support for capturing mineralization, rock descriptions and structural data directly from logged intervals. With the push of a button, you can add multiple samples to your database and have the software search through the geological database for a geological description of the sample interval. When adding samples, have the software automatically tell you the logged rocktype for the sample interval. Or have sulphide minerals automatically added to your sample description. In the above example, the samples are entered by clicking on the ADD button, the software is setup to automatically retrieved py, cpy and rocktype from the geological description. This system eliminates the need to add visual estimates to sample descriptions. This also helps to create complex data queries where assays can be queried against almost any type of geological data.

Drill Logs: You can print drill logs with the push of a button. Customize you log easily with Microsoft s Report Designer.

Print detailed drill logs complete with geological descriptions and user defined assays. With a push of a button, convert your drill log into a full color graphic log.

You can create custom graphic logs complete with your own graphic symbols and colors. Each log can contain assays, geological descriptions and downhole features such as alteration, mineralization, structures and more. Custom designed structure symbols plot with core angles and are rotated relative to the core axis. Oriented core measurements are plotted with the dip and strike or dip and dip direction. Create unique symbols for vein features or structures. In addition to structures, you can plot downhole alteration or mineralization. The data are automatically extracted from the database for line graphs and bar graphs. Unlike a classic striplog, our software will expand the scale of the log with increasing detail insuring that all of your data are represented accurately. The example on the right shows a combination of structural measurements, a bar graph and vein symbols plotted directly on top of the graphic column. The position of each feature is user defined, so that multiple symbols can be placed in the same column to save space.

Cross Sections and Level Plans. Detailed cross sections and level plans can be created with ease. Cross sections can contain multiple assays, graphic and text geology, topography and any downhole information stored in the database. Both Cross Sections and Plans are easily created using our wizard style interface. Some features include: Detailed geology text with color graphic symbols. Assay sections with multi-color values. In minutes, you can create cross sections or level plans directly from your database. With our software, there is no need to convert the data into another format for plotting. Each cross section or level plan is created as an AutoCAD compatible 2-D DXF file.

Sample cross section, not the use of a plan view and side view. The legend and scale bar are created automatically.

3D Visualization 3D Visualization of your data has always be restricted to high end mine modeling software programs. Our software offers a simple interface to create complex 3-D scenes of your drillhole and surface data.
