HAMBURG TOWNSHIP POLICE MONTHLY REPORT April, 2013 COMMUNITY HAPPENINGS Community Involvement: Deputy Chief Dariusz Nisenbaum and Officer Alysha Garbacik led a team of 5 HTPD police explorers to the annual Michigan Police Explorer state competition held in Grayling on April 20, 2013 and April 21, 2013. Chief Richard Duffany and Officer Alysha Garbacik participated in the Hamburg Township Library Story Hour program on April 24, 2013 and April 25, 2013. Sgt. James Sanderson participated in Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on April 27, 2013. Personnel: POLICE DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS Officer Daniel Bromley successfully completed the third phase of his field training program on April 18, 2013. Deputy Chief Dariusz Nisenbaum and Administrative Assistant Danielle Price did an excellent job preparing for and participating in a LEIN audit of the department by the State of

Michigan. Thanks to their efforts our department passed the stringent audit. Chief Richard Duffany and Officer Alysha Garbacik received a letter of appreciation from the Hamburg Township Library for participating in the Story Hour program which included pictures from 14 of the children who were present. Training: Deputy Chief Dariusz Nisenbaum, Sgt. Anthony Wallace, Officer Clint Pace, Officer Matt Duhaime and Officer Steve Locke attended Special Response Team training on April 4, 2013. Deputy Chief Dariusz Nisenbaum and Sgt. Anthony Wallace completed the 40-hour SWAT Commander school held April 8, 2013 April 12, 2013 in Brighton. Sgt. Gary Harpe and Danielle Price attended the CJIS Security Conference held on April 12, 2013 in Lansing. Officer Alysha Garbacik attended Hostage Negotiator training on April 26, 2013. Monthly Arrest Summary: DATE TIME INCIDENT SUMMARY 04/01/13 11:26am A 40-year old male Township resident was arrested at Chilson Commons & M-36 on a felony warrant for Aggravated Assault out of Livingston County. He was lodged at the Livingston County Jail. 04/16/13 4:47pm A 28-year old male Township resident was arrested at M-36 & McGregor for Domestic Violence. He was lodged at the

Livingston County Jail. 04/18/13 8:01pm A 43-year old female Township resident was arrested at her residence on a misdemeanor warrant for Driving While License Suspended out of Hamburg Township. She was lodged at the Livingston County jail. 04/21/13 11:34pm A 41-year old male Township resident was arrested at Pettysville Road & M-36 for Driving While License Suspended. His vehicle was impounded and he was cited and released. 04/22/13 7:02pm A 19-year old male Township resident was arrested at M-36 & Chilson for Possession of Marijuana. He was cited and released. 04/22/13 7:02pm A 17-year old male Howell resident was arrested at M-36 & Chilson for Possession of Marijuana. He was cited and released. 04/24/13 9:06pm A 44-year old male Township resident was arrested at his residence for Domestic Violence. He was lodged at the Livingston County Jail. 04/29/13 4:54pm A 20-year old male Howell resident was a arrested at Chilson & Country Club Drive on a misdemeanor warrant for MIP-Alcohol out of Brighton. He was lodged at the Livingston County Jail. 04/30/13 11:52pm A 31-year old female Township resident was arrested at McGregor & Lombardy Court for Operating While Intoxicated. Her vehicle was impounded and she was lodged at the Livingston County Jail. General Police information: Marine Patrol: Lakeland Trail Patrol: Police vehicles: Effective September 30, 2012, officers have ceased regular marine patrols of the Chain of Lakes for the season. Officers are patrolling the Lakeland Trail using the department Polaris Ranger Utility vehicle. The new department mountain bike has been outfitted and is in service to assist in patrols. All patrol vehicles are in good working order. The new Unit #3187 continued to be outfitted at Cruiser s.
