BLACK FINGERNAILS.BUT NAIL STAINING HYDROQUINONE AND VITAMIN C IN COSMETICS NORMAL TOENAILS WHY HYDROQUINONE? NAIL PIGMENTATION Hydroquinone is oxidized to quinone, a yellow compound, which is then oxidized to hydroxyquinone, a yellow compound, but this polymerizes to dark brown compounds.
