SIP Dispense SIP (Sanitize in Place) provides nightly cooler sanitization. Two Modes: SIP component 1. Auto clean - SIP must be programmed at the initial time of cooler installation. Refer to page 17 for programming instructions. 2. Full clean mode. User must place a vessel that can hold minimum 4 cups of water under the dispense nozzle. Full clean is actuated by pressing and holding the white button on rear of cooler for about 3 seconds until you hear 1 beep. Release button to start.

SIP Auto Clean Setup: 1. Press and hold auto clean button on rear of cooler until 2 nd beep is heard (approximately 7 seconds.) This will activate auto clean setup mode and white light on the Water dispense button will start to flash. 2. Press the auto clean button (X)* times (1 push of the button equals 1 hour) and then press the Water dispense button to accept the setting (you will hear a long beep and the white light will turn off.) System will start when (X)* hour is reached. Flashes white Dispense *Refer to next page for explanation

(X) Explained X ranges from 0 to 24. 0 means turn off SIP mode. Example: If initial POU installation was completed at 12 noon, entering setup mode and pushing auto clean button 12 times (1 push of the button equals 1 hour) and then pressing the Water dispense button to lock in setting, the cooler will start Auto SIP mode at midnight. The system automatically exits setup mode if the water dispense button is not pressed within 15 seconds of pressing auto clean button. Pressing any other buttons other than SIP auto clean or water dispense will exit set up mode.

Determining Auto SIP Set Time On a operating unit, press the Auto Clean button once and release (less than 3 seconds). There will be a one second delay and the system will beep (Y) times. If Y=6 check current time. Example current time is 6 PM + 6 beeps indicates the system will start at 12 AM If cooler looses power it will retain the Auto Start time setting. To reset to factory default, press and hold Hot, Water, and Cold buttons simultaneously and wait for tone (about 3 seconds.) You will then hear 1 long beep indicating SIP has been reset to factory default settings. Factory default is sets SIP to off.

Manual Full Clean Mode Place a vessel capable of holding 4 cups of water under the dispense nozzle. Press button Press the Manual Full Clean button (white button located on the back of the cooler) and hold for 3 seconds until beep is heard. At programmed times the cooler will dispense water through the nozzle. Once completed the entire cold water way system will be sanitized.

Logic When auto SIP starts, the compressor stops and Nexus FS will wait 30 minutes for possible ice bank in cold reservoir to melt. When SIP is powered, the cold water pump will run for approximately 10 seconds every 2 minutes to circulate ozonated water through the cold water reservoir and Accu-Temp tubing and through the dispense nozzle. During manual full clean process, the cooler will NOT dispense water. Pressing any button will trigger 3 quick beeps.

Troubleshooting 1. Water not dispensing: ALWAYS VERIFY THAT UNIT IS NOT IN MANUAL OR AUTO CLEAN MODE a. Check to ensure float assembly is not tripped. b. Verify cooler is connected to a working outlet. c. Verify water shut off valve is in open position. d. Ensure filters are not blocked. e. Check to make sure solenoid and water pump are operating. 2. Warm water dispensing from cold side: a. Verify usage is not exceeding GPH cooling capacity (approx. 1 GPH) b. Cooler set in direct sunlight or too close to heat source. c. Check cold thermostat setting. ¼ turn clockwise for colder water. 3. Water dispensing from hot mode is not hot: a. Verify switch on rear of cooler is in On position. Switch will light up when hot control is activated. 4. Hot water is boiling: a. Possible air pocket in hot tank. Dispense hot water to bleed off air pocket.
