Landlord Underwriting Guide
Definitions/Excesses The Allianz Landlord Insurance Policy is designed for people who own individual properties or for those who own multiple properties. The Policy provides cover for both Landlord Premises and Landlord Contents. Landlord Premises only or Landlord Contents only cover is also provided. Landlord Premises The Landlord Premises is defined as: the private dwelling house (including garages with direct access from the private dwelling house) including fixtures and fittings, occupied for residential purposes only, and of Standard Construction. domestic outbuildings, detached garages, swimming pools, tennis courts, including fixtures and fittings therein and thereon, fuel storage tanks and their contents, terraces patios, driveways, footpaths, walls, gates and fences, lawns, hedges, trees, shrubs and plants all situate as stated in the Schedule on a site not exceeding two acres in area. Underwriting Criteria As our Agent you have authority to accept a risk within the criteria outlined below. Minimum/Maximum Sums Insured Minimum Maximum Premises 140,000 1,500,000 Contents 15,000 150,000 If the maximum sums insured exceed the above please refer to to Allianz the Company Minimum Policy Premium Landlord Premises - 100 plus Levy Landlord Contents - 75 plus Levy Landlord Premises and Contents - 175 plus Levy Number of Occupants If property is let as shared accommodation and there are more than 88 occupants please refer risk to to Allianz the Company The Property to be Insured (criteria applicable to each property if more than 1 to be insured): Is let in one unit and is not subdivided Is let to persons a family/couple/persons in full time employment/ in full time a family/ employment a couple or or students as as their their private residence Is constructed of brick, stone or concrete (including timber framed with concrete brick external cladding) and roofed substantially (at least 70%) with slates, tiles, metal, concrete or asphalt Is in good repair and will be so maintained Is not a Listed or Protected structure Has not suffered from loss or damage as a result of Flood nor is there a history of such damage in the area Has not suffered from loss or damage as a result of Subsidence nor is there a history of such damage in the area The Proposer: Has not been declared bankrupt or convicted or charged with any criminal offence Has not had any insurance declined or made subject to special terms 2
