Message from the President Successful Business Companion for SMEs President's Message Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are a key growth engine of the Korean economy. Since its foundation in 1979, the Small and medium Business Corporation (SBC) has been profoundly aware of the evolving needs of small businesses and has continually satisfied the demands of over three million Korean SMEs. In recent years SBC has been promoting start-ups, job creation, business stability and exports to foster the health and success of SMEs. SBC, or the Successful Business Companion for SMEs, seeks to nurture the seedling ideas of SMEs to flower into their full potential through a complete range of entrepreneurial support programs.
