Students will develop and/or practice their counseling skills within a specialized setting, or with a specialized counseling focus. This course provides an opportunity for professional development and supervised practice for graduate students in counselling psychology. The class seminars provide opportunity for group supervision of student work with clients, and for discussion of issues encountered in the practicum settings. The practicum settings provide opportunity for supervised practice in counselling/psychological techniques with clients. Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: Demonstrate the transfer of skills and knowledge acquired through prior courses to applied counselling/psychological settings; and Incorporate theory, skilled practice and applied experience into a personal counselling/psychological framework. Integrate the skills and practices demonstrated in the classroom and professional setting into selfawareness and transformation. Course Process: This course will use collaborative learning as the course delivery approach. Collaborative learning approaches encourage learners to both contribute to the learning of their peers, and learn from their colleagues as well. The course instructor will provide the overall course structure and expectations, and ensure that essential learning outcomes, as outlined in the course objectives, are met. Seminar Dates: January 16, February 13, March 12, and April 9th. Course Evaluation:

1. ITP Loop/Narrative of practicum experiences (4 @ 5% each) process will be introduced in the first seminar session. Due dates for each Narrative/Loop exercise will correspond with seminar dates (January, 16 th, February 13 th, March12th and April 9 th ). 2.
