Shikunga is an isolated village located in the western part of Kenya. The Shikunga training group has developed through a partnership with Clark Van Halsema of IDEA Ministries. Clark coordinates volunteers to conduct free eye clinics in Kenya. After 10 years, the timing was right to begin Timothy Leadership Training. Sixteen church leaders from this first group received their Basic Trainer certification in June. One pastor reported on his work in 4 churches. He shared how he is training teachers to teach 300 Sunday School children.
Equipping Church Leaders Building Healthy Churches Transforming Communities TLTI New Partner: MINTS (Miami International Seminary) In January, an agreement was signed whereby MINTS recognizes for academic credit the training received by TLTI Master Trainers. After writing a Reflection and Integration Paper, Master Trainers can be awarded 30 credits and the MINTS Certificate of Theological Studies. And, upon acceptance will also be qualified to transfer into the MINTS bachelor degree program as secondyear students. Methodology: TLT materials are written in an inductive style using training manuals alongside the Bible. After each manual, participants create action plans to take back to their congregations. The program can be reproduced without academic structures and has been especially effective in India. Seven training groups have been developed in Visakhapatnam through the work of Gene and Linda Klaasen, with the support of Providence Christian Reformed Church in Holland, Michigan.
The Cambodia training center developed from the trainings conducted by Navy Chann and her husband Ly Chhay. They both became believers in a refugee camp in Thailand, returning to Cambodia to build up the church and reach this un-evangelized country. Navy coordinates training in Phnom Penh, as well as nine training groups in the surrounding provinces. Church leaders learn to be more effective through action plans, even though they have limited resources. So far, 45 Master Trainers have graduated in Cambodia. How Training Multiplies In Peru alone, 51 Master Trainers are certified to lead trainings. There are over 545 church leaders who are working to finish the program in order to graduate.

Greetings! Through your support, Timothy Leadership Training Institute is making a difference in congregations and communities around the world. Simply stated, there are not enough formally trained ministers to provide the needed leadership of growing churches worldwide. You are helping to fill this gap, because with your support TLT goes where these leaders live and work, giving them the practical skills they need to meet the needs of their communities. Two important changes occurred this past year. First, TLTI staffing was reorganized to better fit our operational model. Second, TLTI s mission was revised allowing us to extend our reach and impact more communities. By equipping ministry partners, the TLT program has been affecting more countries and contributing to the spread of the Gospel. In this report, you will read stories and review figures about the success of these partnerships. We would like to say thank you for your contribution to this work throughout this past year. Looking forward, your continued support is an essential part of this ministry, and your gift will go to support our Annual Fund. If you have never given to TLTI now is a great time to start. We have reached 40% of our goal so far during the current Matching Gift Campaign, through which any first time gifts to TLTI will be matched 100% up to $20,000. If you have recently given a gift, accept our deepest thanks. Please help by spreading the word to others who might also be interested in giving toward this challenge. Your involvement in any way is greatly appreciated! Warm regards, Stephen M.
