2 Certificate in Islamic Finance (CIF) OVERVIEW OF CIF PROGRAMME The INCEIF s Certificate in Islamic Finance is a modular program delivered over a period of eleven (11) months covering various areas in Islamic Finance. It is geared for entry level-mid-level executives Islamic financial institutions, current industry practitioners, working professionals in both the Islamic and conventional finance industry. These programs address major areas of Islamic Finance. The modules were designed with an emphasis on the Shariah, legal and regulatory aspects covering Islamic Finance. It is designed for working individuals to fast-track them in these areas. The subject areas covered by the MasterClass covers Shariah, Islamic Banking, Islamic Capital Market, Islamic Wealth Management, Takaful, and Legal Framework for Islamic Finance in Malaysia etc. The certificate program is accredited by the Financial Accreditation Agency (FAA) The modules for the CIF subject are as per below: Module 1 : The Islamic Legal System Module 2 : Usul Fiqh Module 3 : Islamic Legal Maxims Module 4 : Islamic Law of Transaction (Part 1) Module 5 : Islamic Law of Transaction (Part 2) Module 6 : The Malaysian Legal Framework for Islamic Finance Module 7 : Islamic Capital Market Module 8 : Takaful Module 9 : Islamic Wealth Planning and Management Module 10 : Islamic Banking Module 11 : Risk Management for Islamic Banks Each module is delivered over one month with 3 weeks of lectures (4 hours per week) with a 1.5 hours assessment at the end of the module.
