The following certificates may, in accordance with rules made under this Statute, be awarded by the University: Graduate Certificate in Community Counselling Graduate Certificate in Education Graduate Certificate in Environmental Education Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Development Graduate Certificate in Management Studies Graduate Certificate in Regional and Local Government Management Graduate Certificate in Strategic Asset Management Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Register of Courses 6. There is to be a register of courses kept by the Registrar and known as the Register of Courses, containing such particulars as are required, by rules made under this Statute, to be entered in the register. Declared Courses 7. (1) The Academic Board may declare a course of study of the University to be a graduate course of study or an undergraduate course of study for the purposes of this Statute or for the purposes of the Admission Rules 1995 or both. (2) A course of study declared under subsection (1) is taken to be specified as a course of study in the appropriate rules made under this Statute. (3) In this section, "appropriate rules" means whichever of the following Rules is applicable: (a) the Courses of Study (Degrees of Bachelor) Rules 1995; (b) the Courses of Study (Degrees of Master) Rules 1995; (c) the Courses of Study (Degrees of Doctor) Rules 1995; (d) the Courses of Study (Undergraduate Diplomas) Rules 1995; (e) the Courses of Study (Graduate Certificates and Diplomas) Rules 1995. Rules 8. The Council may make rules, not inconsistent with the Act or a Statute, with respect to any matter necessary or convenient for carrying out or giving effect to this Statute and with respect to, or incidental to: (a) the courses of study of the University; and (b) the requirements for, and the formalities and ceremonies relating to the conferring of, awards of the University.
