NSD Business Controlling System (NSD BCS) NSD BCS System is an Integrated Solution. The individual applications in the NSD System are fully integrated. All data that are used across applications is stored at client level (the client is the highest hierarchical level in the NSD System). Specifications that you make or data that you enter at this level are valid for all company codes and for all other organizational structures. Consequently, you do not have to enter these specifications or data more than once. Central maintenance ensures standardized data. Parts of customer and vendor master records, for example, are stored centrally and used in the applications Financial Accounting (FI), Sales and Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM). The individual applications also exchange data, so that business transaction data do not need to be entered more than once. For example, invoices that are posted in SD are passed on to FI, and data that is entered in FI is passed on to other applications. If you use Cost Center Accounting, for example, you can specify a cost center directly when you enter a document, to which the amount entered in the line item, is to be posted. Since every company area in the NSD System can define its own structure, you must specify how each structure is to be derived from the others, so that data can be transferred from one application to another. 3

NSD Business Controlling System (BCS) / Point of Sale System (POS) Module Integration The NSD Business Controlling System (NSD - BCS) tracks and manages, in an enterprise and in real-time, the: 1 HR Human Resources including the Payroll 2 MM Materials Management including the Warehouse Management 3 SD Sales and Distribution 4 POS Point of Sale 5 FI Financial Accounting including Asset Management 6 MAS Messages Alert System and Exchange System To improve your business processes in order to get more success and more profits, the NSD BCS was developed based on one of the best and worldwide used business practices. It is designed using the latest scientific and global experiences (Business Process Management), to administrate and organize the total business processes in your company. It is: 1 An International System: multiple countries specifications. 2 An Integrated Solution: all applications are integrated around one and a main central database. 3 A Multi-Currency System. 4 An online Message Alert System (MAS) allowing the user to be alerted by the management or by any customizing issues. The MAS system provides the user (by customizing warning messages) with an alert for any possible mistake, for example: the expiry date of the materials, or the renewal of the ID and passports of the employees Also, the Message Alert System (MAS) allows you to avoid any possible forfeiture or losses for the company. 5 An exchange system. 6. It uses a central and main data base (MICROSOFT SQL SERVER). NSD BCS has high multi levels of security to limit the access of the users to sensitive data. In addition to the above functionalities, there are a lot of reports and tools for each department and application. These reports are of two categories: 1- A Query report allowing the user to build his own reports by the management of the input parameters. 2- A standards report having large possibilities in terms of input data. NSD BCS is interfaced with Microsoft functionalities, which allows you to send or manage your reports by WORD, Excel or PDF and send it by Outlook. Any other interfacing between NSD BCS and a third party system can be developed directly by NSD teams. NSD System is designed and developed for various organizations, information management, analysis and power reports tools. 5

NSD BCS is a very easy and flexible to implement: A customizing and implementation tools exist, this interface name's Implementation Guide or Tables Management System (TMS) it is a power user interface with a security, high level, this interface (IMG / TMS) allows your power users to implement or enhance the system in case where your configuration is changed. The heart of the system from a manager's viewpoint is the application modules. These modules may not all be implemented in a typical company but they are all interrelated integrated. The Message Alert System (MAS) Based on your profile, immediately, once you re connected, the system alerts you and gives you access to your messages. This functionality is a customizing part of NSD BCS System; you define the type of messages which you desire to receive, also, you have the possibility to send your alert messages to excel file or to your NSD BCS tasks list with a sound or voice alert The NSD BCS contains also a practical and useful Message Alert System. This functionality allows you to be informed, in real time, all about the necessary desired information. This system is a customizing system which means that you decide yourself which type of information you want to be alerted by (example: You need to be alerted 6

one week before the expiry date of the ID or passports of your employees or you need to be alerted 10 days before the expiry date of some Items). Intranet Communication The NSD BCS System is a performance exchanger system allowing the users to avoid to be disconnected in order to send and receive emails; The NSD BCS gives you the possibility to send and receive emails and messages directly through the screen while you are working on the NSD BCS. My Corporate Quick Messages and My Office functionalities are developed in order to allow you to be autonomous in term of communication at the level of your intranet This functionality includes the below: Corporate Quick Messages: Quick Messages and Check messages These functionalities help you to communicate through your intranet (no internet connection needed). 7

Quick Message functionality is a preferment chatting system allowing all connected users to communicate through your intranet. Check message functionality, allows you to receive and answers your messages received when you were not connected to your NSD BCS. My office Contacts, is a real repertory included on your NSD BCS, this functionality such as all other NSD BCS functionalities, is a user level functionality, it can be sheared if you want. Tasks, this functionality is connected to your alert center and allows you to schedule and manage your tasks. Calendar, allows you to manage your appointments Corporate (Mails), is a real exchange system based on your intranet (no internet connection needed) to send or receive your internal documents and messages. All the above functionalities are fully integrated between themselves, and with all other NSD BCS modules, they are based on a high security level. 8
