Prior to Mobility Timing is an Issue Sales Execs have to provide information early so that Business Analyst has time to key in data Last minute updates do not make weekly forecast Finance does not see contracts and revenue generation until Business Analyst keys in data once a week 16

Enterprise Mobile App Store Companies want to provide a safe internal place for their apps: Internal, centrally managed app store Provide app ratings and reviews Support all mobile platforms Allow internal developers to upload their apps Apply app security (clear app data, control app access)
Mobile Device Management (MDM) Traditional enterprise mobile device security model closely follows the old BlackBerry model of total device control Known as Mobile Device Management (MDM) Advantages are that IT has full control over a mobile device Disadvantages are that the employee, who most likely purchased the mobile device themselves, must put up with having their personal device completely taken over by their employer s IT department allowing them to see everything, block apps and functionality, and wipe it entirely. Example of an Air-Watch MDM solution
Dual Persona (aka Containerization) Since many companies have adopted a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) approach to mobile, traditional MDM is too restrictive and controlling Dual Persona (also known as Containerization) is a method of creating a second persona on the mobile device specifically for work email, contacts, calendar, and apps. The container has its own security and is fully controlled by the employer s IT department, however the rest of the device is left untouched and invisible to IT. Advantages are that IT has full control over the work container, but not the rest of the device Disadvantages are that the email, contacts, and calendar apps inside the work container may lag behind the features of the device s native apps. Older devices may not be able to handle a container.
