1 Position Descriptions Some of the following positions may or may not be exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Positions should be matched on the basis of job content and not FLSA status. Pos. Code Accounting 0320 Accounting Clerk: Performs a variety of routine and some nonroutine clerical/accounting functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or related financial area. Reconciles bank accounts, posts information and balances general or subsidiary ledgers, processes payments and compiles segments of monthly closings, annual reports, etc. Contacts other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems. Balances general or subsidiary ledgers and prepares reports to show receipts, expenditures, accounts receivable and payable, and various other items pertinent to the operation of a business Billing Clerk: Compiles data and prepares invoices and bills of lading. Compiles amounts due from records such as purchase orders, sales tickets and charge slips. Prepares invoices, listing items sold, amounts due, credit terms and date of shipment. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent. General Clerical 2120 File Clerk: Maintains correspondence, cards, invoices, and other classified or indexed records arranged systematically in a file according to an established system. In addition, may insert additional data, prepare reports, and provide written information on request. 2 Code Human Resources 1467 Human Resources Receptionist: Greets all visitors to the Human Resources department and directs them to the appropriate location of the NEW office. Answers and directs all incoming calls. Handles the distribution of mail and facsimiles. Schedules meetings and interviews; reserves conference rooms. May assist with pre-screening, testing, reference checking and new hire orientation. May prepare offer and/or regret letters and order office supplies. Responsible for projects as assigned and general receptionist duties Employee Benefits Claim Clerk: Checks the accuracy and completion of routine and complex employee claim forms, and processes them under the organization's various benefit plans, including but not limited to group insurance, basic and major medical coverage and other benefits. Maintains employee benefits records and prepares required reports. Counsels employees regarding benefit eligibility and coverage. Transmits or arranges for correct claim benefit checks to employees. Identifies, investigates and researches user questions and problems as well as recognizing, researching, isolating and resolving information systems problems. Coordinates referrals to appropriate technical, professional or service personnel for appropriate services, repairs, training, and follow-up. May assist with fixed asset inventories. See Level Guide SUPP Micrographics (Imaging) Operator: Images/microfilms company records to ensure that company history is archived and that vital records are protected. Ensures the imaging process meets quality control standards. Retrieves documents as requested and maintains appropriate records Administrative Assistant: Provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support services to an organizational unit. May assist in budget preparation and control activities. Stores or displays pharmacy items in proper locations. Assists in the care and maintenance of pharmacy equipment and supplies. Types and files reports, and completes forms as directed. Assists in maintaining inventory Pharmacy Service Associate: Provides assistance as required in the pharmacy. Responsibilities may include greeting customers, entering sales on the cash register, answering telephones, and handling pharmacist referrals Service Clerk: Performs a wide variety of duties in a retail store. Maintains files on status of accounts, and informs customers when fixed time deposits have matured. Renews or opens new accounts. Cross sells other bank services and refers customers to other departments as appropriate. Keeps informed of changes in bank services or procedures.
